Chapter 77 - Well Done Thomas

As Ivy was pulled out of the car by Thomas she could feel the cold air around her, the smell of fish and the sea. Boats swayed in the sea and the gentle lapping of the sea current could be heard. It was deathly silent, the dock was empty apart from them.

Her heels clicked on the damp concrete and she was pulled behind Thomas, her eyes bore into the back of his head cursing him and searching for answers. The other men were behind them chatting and laughing at her, she could feel there lecherous eyes on her. Bad choice of clothing to be kidnapped in she thought.

They arrived at a warehouse and a thin young man opened the rattling sliding door. Thomas and she entered with the other men.

Inside the dark warehouse had a few lights but it was mostly dark inside the room. Thomas pushed her onto the chair and it wobbled with the force. She scowled at him but he remained stoic.

"How long till the boss shows?"

The older man who seemed in charge checks his watch.

"Should be here within the hour."

"Let's have a taste while we wait."

The fat man approached her and the older man hit him as he moved towards her. She could already guess what was going to happen to her.

"Boss always gets first go, you know this. Go make yourself useful and go sell this ring."

He tossed Ivys ring to the man and the man caught it and put it in his pocket.

"Be right back."

The man left with her ring, leaving Ivy, Thomas and the three men in the cold, dark warehouse.

They all stayed silent. Ivy was looking around trying to avoid the men's eyes. She was looking for a way to escape, a weapon, anything really. She looked at the tin roof and saw there was a window up there. The sky was dark which meant night time had come.

Two meters from her on her left there where wooden crates but she didn't know their contents. Her eyes squinted to read the (handle with care) labels on the boxes. What was in them? This obviously wasn't a simple warehouse. Could the contents be of any use to her she wondered?

She hoped they had some sort of weapon inside and not narcotics. She looked up, Thomas stood between her and the crates. If he really had betrayed her, he would be her biggest obstacle. After a few minutes her mind produced zero escape routes, she was annoyed just waiting for something to happen. She was cold and tired, she wanted this over so she could go home to Noah.

After a while, she heard something outside. It sounded like numerous cars rapidly pulling up outside. Within seconds, the door to the warehouse opened and several men walked in. Her eyes turned sharp and she concentrated as she scanned them as they entered the warehouse. She counted at least twenty men including the ones that had driven her here they all dressed in black suits. She didn't want to hurt Thomas, the other twenty could go to hell.

Suddenly the crowd of men opened up and Ivy saw a figure appear. Unlike his muscular thugs, he was lean and does not seem like someone who was a leader of a gang of thugs. His appearance was well-kept and he was wearing a navy suit. In his eyes, she saw a menacing aura within it. It made her very cautious of him. She knew from experience that it was the ones who hid their savagery, that they were the most formidable.

"Nice evening for a stroll on the docks."

She greeted them with a beautiful smile on her face. To show them fear was to show them a weakness. She decided to act indifferently.

"Good evening Ivy, it's a pleasure to have Noah's lover in my hands."

He greeted her with a sinister smile spreading on his face and rubbed his hands in delight as he studied her.

"So, what is it that you want? Money, information, or is it just a simple warning beating?"

She smiled, pretending to be obedient and submissive.

The leader felt his smile spread at her words, he was unable to sense fear radiate from her. It was surprising, which made him look forward to dealing with her. He thought of how to make her scream and record it for his own and Noahs pleasure later.

He ignored her and looked to Thomas, his eyes assessing him.

"Well done Thomas, You sure are sharp, I like you. Welcome to my family now, you will be well rewarded and looked after."

"I'm honoured that you think so highly of me Mr McCann."

Thomas slightly nodded to the man. When ivy heard the mans name she glared at them.

Mr McCann asked her again.

"Feeling betrayed, that is the first thing you will feel tonight. Don't glare at me, you don't have to worry. I do not condone him keeping u, after we have our fun tonight you shall be set free."

She wasn't sure what he meant but she didn't feel any relief.

"Thomas prove yourself to me and my men."

"How do you want me to do that?"

"Slit her throat."

Ivys eyes widened at his words.

Mr McCann snickered, he enjoyed her reaction.

"That's it show me the fear in your beautiful eyes, Ivy."

Thomas coughed.

"I don't think that's a good idea, Noah will not come here if Ivy is dead. He might be angry that we've killed his lover but he will not come immediately. If you want him here keep her alive."

"Mmm very interesting argument, Thomas,"

Mr McCann replied and Thomas nearly felt relief until Mr McCann threw out and a Bowie knife on the floor.

Fuck

"Cut off one of Ivys fingers with it," he instructed.

How cruel can Mr McCann be? Thomas thought angrily as he glanced at the knife. The bowie knife was small and it was sharp but it would be excruciatingly painful to hack off a finger. How could any girl stand the pain? How could he do that to his friend?

"I said she would live didn't I, I never said I wouldn't have some fun, did I? We all want to watch Noahs lover scream in order to see his reaction."

Mr McCann smirked again, after a pause he continued.

"As long as she is alive, Noah will come. I heard he spoils and pampers her. She is his only weakness. It took me great lengths to get his weakness. I must have my fun." He paused again.

"It's just a finger? My brother lost his life in Noah's hands... All over something small... What a waste of a life. My brother was actually worth something she... Is worthless."

Thomas glanced at Ivy. She didn't speak but the fear in her eyes was obvious to him she could hide it but not from him. Her eyes searched Thomas's dark orbs, pleading. It hurt him that she doubted him, he would never do this without a reason.

"Noah will not come willingly if Ivy is hurt either. She is not worthless to him. We should keep her alive and well till Noah arrives."

Thomas tried not to be intimidated when Mr McCann walked towards them. He didn't care about his own life but he held Ivys life in his hands.
