Chapter 975 You'sre Just A Sissy

The two of them were preparing dinner in the tiny kitchen. However, the atmosphere was harmonious.

James walked past and glanced at them from time to time. Although he was happy for Jean, he couldn't help but feel a pang in his heart, and he sighed.

Soon a delicious savory aroma wafted from the kitchen. The sun had already dipped below the horizon and the training course had come to an end. Everyone in the gym was packing up and getting ready to leave.

"James, dinner is ready!" Jean walked out of the kitchen and called out to him.

"It smells great! You two enjoy the dinner together. I have something that I have to deal with, so I'll have to duck out. I'm sorry about that." James turned her invitation down gently with a smile.

Jean stood stunned and asked, "Do you really have to go, or is it because of Zed?"

James understood what she meant and shook his head, replying, "Of course not! I'll be honest with you. I actually have a date tonight with a girl, so I have to go."

"Oh, okay. Well if that's the case, then you had better hurry up. Don't keep her waiting," said Jean with a smile.

She couldn't tell if James were lying or not, but seeing someone else would be a good idea for him.

James watched Jean walk back to the kitchen and sighed again. He grabbed his bag and left the gym. Suddenly he heard the sound of footsteps approaching behind him. "James, wait. We're having dinner out tonight. Would you like to join us?" a girl's voice called out to him.

He turned around and was surprised to see a girl who was a trainee at the gym, gazing at him expectantly. Judging by the look of her, James assumed that she was a college student.

"That sounds interesting, but I am afraid that it might be inappropriate for me to go with you," said James awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. He barely interacted with any of his customers. The coaches that he hired had a better relationship with them. Considering that, James felt weird joining them out of the blue.

"The dinner is for singles. I think you'll be fine," she said with a smile.

Her words brought a smile to his face, and he replied, "Okay. That fits me perfec

"You're my wife in name only, on paper only. My heart and love will never be yours."

Edward made it clear to Daisy that she was nothing to him. They were both victims of family greed -- the marriage was arranged for them.

Six years passed. She remained quiet, gaining a reputation in the army as a tough-as-nails colonel. When she walked into his life again, Edward fell in love with this woman...

t are you doing? I didn't do anything. Why are you hugging me?" James raised both of his hands high up in the air and tried not to touch her. He didn't want to encourage her.

Julie was intoxicated, and the smell of liquor was all over her body. She rested her face on his neck and said, "Could you stay with me tonight?"

"Hum?" James didn't know what she meant.

"Let's spend the night together," Julie murmured, licking his neck.

James was flattered by her invitation. He gently touched her forehead and replied, "You're drunk. I won't take it seriously. I'm a man with principles. I don't hook-up with the same woman twice. I have to be responsible for myself and her, unless..." While he spoke to her, James suddenly smiled and continued, "Are you in love with me?"

"What nonsense are you talking about?" She released her grip on him and stared at him in rage. "Bah! A man with principles wouldn't hook-up with random girls in the first place. Screw you! Are you a man or a mouse?"

"You should know better than anyone else how manly I am," replied James. He was fearless. How dare this woman question his manhood!

Crossing her arms, Julie sneered. "Oh, really? I can't see any manliness in you right now! Since you're just a bluff man, I guess I shouldn't give you a hard time," she mocked in a drunken voice.

As she turned around walking away, she turned her head back and said provocatively, "You're just a sissy."
