Chapter 707 Even I Was Moved

Moore looked at Jean, shook his head and said, "Of course not. You know that I have a lot of free time lately. Avery can't accompany you for afternoon tea, but I can. Anyway, I have something to tell you."

"That's great! Let's go." Jean was really happy to hear that Moore was going to go with her. Then they both walked out of the hospital together

and found a cafe close by. When they were seated they ordered some snacks and two glasses of freshly squeezed juice.

Jean looked at Moore curiously and asked, "What did you want to tell me?"

"Well, last time you asked me to go earlier to help Zed in the company. When I got back, I thought about it and decided to go next Monday," Moore said, taking a sip of his juice.

"Really?" Jean asked in surprise. "But don't you want to spend some more time with Avery? Her advertising shoot is almost finished anyway. You can use that as an opportunity to spend more time with her since there is no other work lined up for her to do."

"So, do you want me to help Zed? Or do you want me to spend time with Avery?" Moore asked confusedly with a smile on his face.

"Of course I want you to..." Jean suddenly stopped, and then looked at Moore, smiled and said, "For your happiness, of course, I want you to spend more time with Avery and cultivate your feelings for each other. I shouldn't have been so selfish, right?"

When Moore heard her reply, the smile on his face disappeared immediately. He looked at Jean and said, "Just as you wish. That's your husband's company anyway. I have no objection, whether you want me to go earlier or later." He finished with a sigh.

"Well, it's settled then! Moore, do you want to know why my father asked me to stay just now? Do you want to know what he just told me?"

she asked with a teasing smile, changing the subject.

Moore casually picked up a butter cookie, took a bite and asked, "So what did your father tell you?"

"He told me that you had feelings for me and that I should stay away from you. Oh, how crazy!"

Jean said, innocently shaking her head as she glanced at Moore.

Moore stopped chewing immediately and the expression on his face was that of being found out.

Jean, misinterpreting his reaction, smiled to cheer him up. "Relax, Moore. I know that we are just friends. It must have just been some gossip t

It all starts on that fateful night.

When Ella, who is the dear sister of Samuel’s best buddy, sneaks into the hotel where the drunken Samuel resides and gets pregnant…

"I don’t want a divorce!"

"I don’t want a divorce!"

"I did no such thing!"

Ella jumped on the bed and cried out. “I don’t want a scheming woman as my wife. Just sign the paper...

sat there with a dumb look on his face.

'Oh my gosh! I may as well be talking to a wall! He can't even say anything nice! Fortunately for me, he is not my husband.

I really don't know what Avery sees in him!'

Jean thought resentfully.

Moore felt embarrassed after Jean had scolded him like that. Every word that she spat out at him was like a slap across the face. He felt hurt.

"Jean..." he said quietly. He looked at her sincerely and breathed a heavy sigh. "It's not as you think. In fact, I attach great importance to the matter. I know if you allow me the privilege of being your child's sworn father then it means that you, Zed and I become more than just friends. We become family. Since you both respect me enough to offer me such an honorable position in your family, how could I possibly not value that?

But when it comes to preferring boys or girls, I really never thought about it before. I always thought that's what you and Zed should think about. But now I have changed my mind. I share Zed's thoughts, that as long as it's your child, whether it's a boy or a girl is not important. It'll be cute and I'll love it."

Jean was instantly satisfied to hear Moore say that, in particularly the last part.

Jean felt extremely happy within herself and in truth, she only pretended to be angry at Moore just to get him to say how he felt.

Otherwise, he would have just beaten around the bush and avoided answering.

"But what if I insisted that you choose one?" Jean looked at Moore cunningly and continued to press him.
