Chapter 265 Coma Because of Poor Health

"I am telling you for the last time, it was not me, " exclaimed Jesse. Her expression turned cold as she had run out of patience. She did not want to argue about this with Eva any longer.

'What the hell is wrong with this woman? How dare she yell at me like this?

Damn it, people around will think that I am bullying her.

But I did nothing wrong.'

With a sneer, Jesse glanced at Eva, "Watch your mouth! And if you don't stop talking nonsense immediately, I'll destroy you!"

"You dare to threaten me?" Eva replied with an angry look. There was no way that she was ready to take the blame for others. But seeing that Jesse was about to get mad, Eva realized that it was not prudent to continue shouting at Jesse. She didn't think that she could afford to provoke Jesse's wrath. However, she still had to warn Jesse, "Jesse Tang, you refuse to confess now, but wait and see. Your actions will come to light sooner or later, and when they do, you'll regret what you said today!"

With a sneer Jesse said, "Let's wait and see."

After throwing a hateful glance at her, Eva turned and walked toward her car.

"Wait, " said Jesse suddenly. Eva stopped as she reached for the car door. When she turned, Eva saw the threatening look Jesse was giving her. Then she heard Jesse say, "I'll get even with you if I find you tailing me again."

Eva glared back at Jesse. She was so furious that her body trembled.

Upon seeing Eva's reaction, Jesse smiled. She had been in a foul mood ever since she had left Zed's office. But Eva's scorn-filled expression gave Jesse a sense of satisfaction. With a smile on her face, Jesse opened the door of her car and got into it. She left the parking lot in a better mood than when she had arrived.

"Damn it!" Eva screamed as she slammed the door angrily. "You're gonna get what's coming to you soon! There is no way that you're gonna be with Zed. Jesse Tang, not even in your wildest dreams!"

After that, she slipped into her car, turned the ignition, and slammed her foot on the gas.

In the hospital, Jean stirred. Three bottles of dextrose solution had been pumped into her body through intravenous fluids before Jean recovered. She wasn't feeling as dizzy as before.

She stretched herself and tried hard to open her eyes slowly. Back when she was taking the infusion, she was too weak to stay awake, and so she rested during that time. Jean felt much better now.

Just as Jean managed to sit upright on the bed, there was a knock at the door.

'Did Moore also finish his infusion?'

When Jean thought this, a smile appeared on her face. She said, "Please come in."

The door opened quickly and Calvin rushed in. His expression conveyed the anxiety that

"Do you know what you did wrong? It's alright if you just wanted to own me. But you should not have helped Molly leave me!"

When Brian learns the truth, there is no chance for Hannah to win his heart.

Molly, who wants to run away from Brian, seems to be the only one to blame for Hannah's misfortune...

d he wanted to comfort and reassure her during this challenging time.

"Okay!" said Jean with a firm nod. "You're right. The truth will come to light sooner or later and I'll clear my name then."

'But, I may not be with Zed when that happens. And I bet that is exactly what the culprit wants!'

As she thought about this, Jean couldn't help feeling bitter. Her earlier enthusiasm had morphed into a sad expression.

As Calvin had been studying Jean, he could see that her face had paled. He figured out what she was thinking. It was not that surprising that this incident would damage her relationship with Zed. After a sigh, he waved his hand to catch her attention before he said, "Didn't I just tell you not to overthink? Why are you so rebellious?"

He said those words in a doting manner, as if Jean were a disobedient child.

Jean couldn't help blushing from shame. "I'll try."

Despite her outward appearance, Jean was shocked. 'Why does Calvin seem to be so different?

He not only comforts me, but also talks with me in such a relaxed tone, Which makes me feel as though he and I have been close friends for years.'

"Don't just try. Reassure yourself that everything will work out. Jean, if you don't take good care of your own body, who else will? It is up to each one of us to care for ourselves. So remember, your health comes first no matter what. Do not spoil your body because of anyone or anything."

"But I..... I did not......" Jean tried explaining. "I've suffered from anemia ever since I was a child. I'm quite used to it now. It is no big deal at all."

"You fainted because of poor health. And you say this is because of something that you've suffered ever since you were a child? How can you not take it seriously?"

Asked Calvin as he frowned at Jean in concern.
