"Nasty! Nasty! How dare that boy openly flirt with those girls?!" An old man in a tweedy suit paired with bauta cera mask said as he stared daggers at Wang Yuvin with clenched fist and gritted teeth.

"Relaxe! He seemed not flirting with the girls to me. It was more like the other way around." The old man wearing a Zanni mask beside him replied in a calm voice.

"Open your eyes! He was acting so coy with the girls in that table! How shameless! Even philandering in front of his young niece!" The old man said, his angry face hidden beneath the mask he wore.

"Enough of the nonsense bickering! Why can't you see that there was something about that lad that drew people to him? He is a good-looking young man with a nice physique and a welcoming nature." The other old man said as he excitedly cut open a seafood stuffed roasted lobster with his hands.

"Are you telling me that he wasn't flirting? That the girls just came to him, when in fact he was the one who approached their table with a breath-taking smile?! Aren't we friends? Why are you on that boy's side?" The old man said as he now glared at the person sitting beside him.

"Friends? I do not have a dumb friend! Excuse you, the young lad is the master of tonight's feast. Of course, he had to entertain esteemed guests. Their hotel should leave a lasting good impression not a negative one! Ha! Are you really a lawyer, Chairman Kiang?!" The other old man snapped. How can he savor and enjoy the taste of the delicious food in front of him if the person beside him kept on complaining to him?

"Y-you! Why did you yell out my last name like that! What if my enemies heard that and decided to kill me right here, right now!" Chairman Kiang low-key fixed the mask he wore. Making sure that his face was safely hidden underneath.

"Stop overthinking! Also, you already hired elite bodyguards from HPA, right?" Chairman Xu said before he indulged himself with the delicacy in his hands.

"I did not hire them for myself, I hired them for my granddaughter. But that stubborn child! She can always find ways to escape them. Now, my poor heart is even more restless than ever!" Chairman Kiang's voice was full of frustration.

"Okay. nom– chomp—nom—chomp." Chairman Xu's response was short, seemingly not interested with the Chairman's senseless rants.

"You glutton! How can you turn a blind eye to your long-time friend? You dare ignore me just because of the lobster you are eating?!" However, it seemed that Chairman Kiang would not let him off the hook after all.

"You! Don't you know that I am the life of every party I have been to?! Hmppp! Also, initially, my little Lei did not want anything to do with this party. But when she found out that the owner of this hotel was that boy and his family, she became overly excited! However, after the lunch we had in the Wang Villa, she suddenly showed great disinterest! Even destroying the expensive gown, she bought from your wife!" Chairman Kiang said as he angrily cut a fleshy pink strip of garnished roasted salmon.

"You assumed that Leilei's decision of not attending tonight's party was because Yuvin and her had a falling out?"

"Of course! Can there be another reason?" Chairman Kiang replied as he moved his mask some inches up, showing his mouth.

"You are such a negative person! No wonder bad luck is strongly attracted to you! Don't be like that. I do not think Yuvin is a bad guy. Didn't he save Lei from her demise last time? He was also there when your little granddaughter was forced by your ex son-in-law to get engaged with Dr. Yang's playboy son." Chairman Xu said truthfully.

"He did not even ask anything in return. What he was showing you and your granddaughter, then till now, was nothing but kindness. And this is how you chose to repay him? You should have given him the benefit of the doubt, my old friend. Everything could just be a major understanding." Chairman Xu added before he took a guzzle from his sugar pop drink, seemingly ready to clear away the sizzling mouth-watering seafood dishes in front of them.

"Now that you said that, I just realized that I am being unreasonable. But I cannot be blamed either. I am just being overprotective of my precious granddaughter." Chairman Kiang said as he finally gave the strip of fish a taste. His eyes then glowed with delight; the trout was overwhelmingly delicious.

"I understand. I was just once like you. I was super strict and protective of my daughter. Also, I did not approve of her boyfriend then, husband now at first. I always slander the poor guy in front of my daughter and of anyone. No wonder my son-in-law grew distant to me and seldom shows my two handsome grandsons to me and my wife." Chairman Xu said in a bitter voice.

"Aigo! What to do! I just love her too much that I don't want her to get hurt or feel pain."

"Stop belittling your granddaughter. Stop treating her like an imbecile who would always be dependent on you. She's a grown up now. And she grew up well thanks to your hard work. You should just let her steer the wheel of her life and adjust her sailings based on what she wants not based on yours. If she's hurt, ease her pain. If she falls down, help her up. Also, talk to her! For heaven's sake! Do not just assume things!" Chairman Xu replied. He then filled his plate with mussels and mushrooms before putting a generous serving of creamy soup in his bowl.

"Hay! Shut it! Enough of our nonsense chitchat. Let us just indulge ourselves to the perfectly cooked meals in front of us!" Chairman Kiang said before he stuffed some seafood drizzled in a special spicy sauce.

"Hahaha! Now we are talking!"

The two friends then finally enjoyed eating as they continue to sat before a splendid feast.
