'GASHHHHH!'"Oh no! What have you done, little Miss!" The attendant moved quickly toward the now damaged gown. Wang Reiji followed shortly after the attendant but she instead ran straight to her daughter who was equally as shocked as them. "Don't worry. That was just an accident. I will take care of this." She whispered to Europa and gently cupped the little girl's face with her hands. She then exhaled deeply before turning to the attendant to say that she'll pay for the gown. She also told the assistant that she'll talk to Lady Tong and the VIP client."I don't want to sound rude, Madame. But this gown costs 50 000 USD. Are you sure a starlet like you can afford to pay such expensive gown? Besides, the gown will be used for a masquerade ball at the end of the month. Do you think the Queen Wardrobe's team can finish the gown repairs in time for the event? Appliqueing takes time!" The attendant lashed out in frustration as desperation became evident on her face.At that instant, Wang Reiji wanted to comfort the attendant, tell her that she's actually the owner of the hotel where the masquerade ball will be held and that the hotel itself was named after the little girl who accidentally destroyed the gown's design. While she was contemplating for a good rebuttal, the attendant spoke again."Please stay here for a while, I will just go upstairs to inform Lady Tong of the bad news." The attendant was calmer now and she wasn't raising her voice anymore. "Okay. Go ahead. We will wait here." Wang Reiji replied. As soon as the attendant left the room, Europa nestled in her mother's arms."Mama, I am sorry! I didn't mean to damage the gown... Please don't get mad at me." Europa's lips slightly quivered as her words slowly made their way out her mouth."Why would I be mad at you? Don't be so hard on yourself, sweetie. That was an accident. Nobody wanted that to happen." Wang Reiji's lips stretched into a comforting smile.Meanwhile, the attendant had just reached the VIP room upstairs. She anxiously stared at the doorknob while she mustered all her courage to open the door and inform Lady Tong of the gown's misfortune. When she was about to reach out for the knob, the door opened all of a sudden, startling not just her but also the person who opened it."What are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to stay downstairs?" Lady Tong sounded more annoyed than surprised. "Ah...Eh...L-Lady Tong... You need to come down this instant. Something happened to the gown downstairs." Because of fear, the attendant stammered over words as she spoke cowardly."What's with the gown? Don't tell me?!" Lady Tong's voice roared like thunder."T-the gown... T-the gown's skirt was torn apart." The attendant paled right after she told Lady Tong the problem."WHAT?! How?!" Lady Tong was now fuming with anger upon discovering what happened to her masterpiece. Realizing that she was already yelling which might scare the VIP client, Lady Tong then told the attendant to wait for her downstairs. As soon as she saw the attendant descending the stairs, she went inside the room to speak to the client."Miss Kiang... I need to go downstairs. Something bad happened to your gown and I need to check it out." Lady Tong smiled, masking her boiling anger. "Ah, is that so? Okay." Kiang Leilei replied, her eyes glazed with disinterest."Don't worry, Miss. I will make sure that the person responsible for this will get the punishment he deserves." Lady Tong said as she turned her back away from Kiang Leilei and exit the room."Did she just say that something bad happened to the gown? Oh my! Am I being lucky or what? I hope the gown gets destroyed beyond repair so that I won't have to attend that stupid masquerade ball!"Kiang Leilei murmured to herself before grabbing her purse on the couch and followed Lady Tong downstairs. If the gown was indeed damaged, she must not, at all cost, allow it to be repaired!
