24 SHATTERED DREAMS

Zhang Chenric's body stiffened when he heard the horrifying scream. He stood motionless for few seconds. He regained his senses after Liu LingLi shook his shoulders.

"Prosecutor Zhang! Snap out of it. I will call for help and you should rush to your father's office." Liu LingLi said with a loud and clear voice.

"Okay, hurry up!" Zhang Chenric roared. He wasted no time and rushed to his father's office at the end of the hallway.

A cold shiver ran up Zhang Chenric's spine when he entered his father'sroom. Zhang Jun's body was lying face down on the floor while a crying Xing Yin was standing at the corner of the room, holding a gun with a suppressor.

"What happened, Yin?! What the hell happened here? Why are you holding a gun? D-Did you shoot my father?!"

"Mama! It's me,it's me!" A giggling voice of a little girl was heard on the other line. It was Europa. She used her uncle's phone to contact her mother.
