Chapter 511 - YOU WON'T LET MOMMY GO WITH ME...

Jade continued to take the exam and she only left her seat whenever she had to go to the bathroom. Her eyes were a little tired so she stopped for a while and closed it. She was putting some sliced cucumbers on her eyes while taking her break. It was already five in the afternoon and she will be taking the 4th grader exam. She checked the instruction earlier and found that it was a 100 items exam per subject. Though there were only six subjects, it can still be considered a lot to answer within one hour and half.

"I thought that the time will be carried over once I'm done with one grade. I didn't expect that one and half hour will only be allotted for one grade, finish or not." She mumbled softly to her father.

"Will you be able to finish the last grade?"

"Hn. I think I can do it." Jade affirmatively responded to him. After ten minutes of rest, she started taking the exam again. On the side of the laptop was a plate of dark and think chocolates for her. Travis also made sure to keep her hydrated by placing a glass of water on her side.

"Daddy, I was just wondering."

"Hn? What is it?"

"You won't let Mommy go with me to city A during my examination day, right?"

Travis cocked his eyebrow with this question. How can she be so perceptive? Nonetheless, he still answered her honestly. "I am planning to go with you instead of her."

"I guess so."

"How did you guess it?" Travis asked. Even though they were having a conversation, Jade still continued to answer.

"First, Mommy isn't fully recovered yet. She said that she's got better stamina but she still ends up sleeping all the way 'til noon." Travis let out a faint chuckle knowing that he was the cause of his wife's oversleeping. Second, she always attracts trouble. Since she got pregnant all the way to giving birth, trouble didn't stop coming. Third, someone's been keeping an eye on her recently and you are worried. Fourth, you wanted her to take care of baby Raizel while we're gone. Fifth, you just want to keep her safe."

Travis didn't know what to day at this point. Everything that Jade said was true. Down to the last reason she mentioned. "You are a blessing to us, Jade."

"You are wrong, Daddy. I am the one who's blessed for meeting all of you." Jade retorted back. She just prayed to have a baby sister or baby brother last Christmas and it didn't mean that she had to be adopted. If a baby came to the orphanage, she was still alright with that. However, God answered her prayer in a different way and there were extra blessings added to it.

She was so glad that she didn't stop living her life. Even when her mother and her baby sister died, she didn't lose hope. She strived to live her life no matter how low she can go.

Five minutes before the time was over, Jade finished the 4th grader exam. It was the last test that she needed to take which made her feel relieved. She stood up from her seat and stretched her limbs. "I'm done, Dad."

"Let me send it back to the admin." Travis took the laptop and finished the process. The two of them went back to Raizel's room when they finished everything. The room was silent and a two figure were sleeping on the bed. Jillyanna cuddled her baby to sleep while her husband and her daughter dealt with the exam.

"You take a rest here. I'll cook for our dinner. Call me once the baby wakes up." He whispered to his daughter while placing his laptop on the small table inside the room.

"Got it."

Travis left them alone and went to the kitchen. Auntie Fei and Auntie Sisi were currently preparing the ingredients for dinner but Travis took over while the two helped him as his assistant. Not long after, Shein, Savannah and Hawk came home from the company. Shein brought another batch of documents that Travis needed to review. Savannah sorted out the projects for Travis to check later as well. It had always been like this since he stopped coming to the office.

"Bro, I'll place everything inside the study room." Shein informed Travis as he walked upstairs. Savannah followed him and made sure that everything was organized to save time for Travis later.

Riley came home as well with a new script in hand for a TV series that she will be auditioning in a week from now. They were all busy but they won't forget to play with Jade whenever they're at home.

"Jade?" Shein knocked on the little girl's room but there was no response. He retraced his footsteps and stopped in front of Raizel's room. They were not allowed to enter the room unless Travis says so, therefore, he could only knock again and wait for Jade.

"Wait." Jade's small voice rang out and was slightly muffled since the door and the walls to this room was very thick to avoid disturbing whoever's inside, specially a child who can be easily disturbed in his sleep. Jade opened the door and saw Shein standing there with a smile.

"Welcome home, uncle."

"Do you want to play with my computers?"

Jade looked down on her hand and shook her head. "I just finished answering a whole bunch of exams for Trine Elite University. My eyes are very tired."

"I see. Well, let's play again when you are not tired."

"Thanks, Uncle."

"Sure. I'll take my leave now. Your auntie will be looking for me again."

"Right. She just got home. You should go to your house and see her."

"Yup. See you later."

"Later." Jade went back inside when Shein left to go back to his own house. Jillyanna had woken up but baby wasn't so, she asked Jade to look after him while she went downstairs to make the milk formula to fed him later.
