Chapter 466 - MAGICAL WORDS THAT SHE NEEDED TO HEAR

Ryden was walking slowly towards the house. He wasn't afraid to be seen at all. If he would perish, he would drag everyone with him.

"Ryden, you monster! Don't include my daughter in this mess! You f*cking bastard! Get back here!" Walter Damien shouted at the top of his lungs until he was getting hoarse.

Ryden did stop and turned around to face him. "Why should I stop? The more you want to stop me, the more I want to slaughter them." His twisted face and cold eyes were not showing any traces of being human. He was mad! There's only madness and killing intent in his eyes.

"If something happens to my daughter, your family will never live peacefully in this life and in the next. I will haunt you to the ends of the Earth if you do something to Jade!" He was struggling to free himself from the bind. He just wanted to visit his daughter and send her an early Christmas gifts but, they were ambushed and his men were killed from the sudden attack. His trusted subordinate exchanged his life to save him but Ryden still caught him.

"There's no use shouting those curses at me." He continued to walk towards the house which wasn't very far from where they were.

"AAAAAHHHHHH! HELP! SOMEONE COME AND HELP!" He no longer cared about his image. He just wanted for someone to hear his call of help. He wanted someone to save his daughter. He was yelling like crazy, losing his composure from fear and anxiety.

"SHUT UP!" Ryden turned towards him and shot him on his chest, stopping him from shouting – forever. "What a waste of my bullet. If you didn't show up here, you wouldn't be killed. I didn't even know that she was your daughter. HAHAHA. I will kill whoever is related to this bitch! And it just so happens that you wanted to visit them. Tsk!" He left without checking his victim.

Bent on exacting his revenge, blinded by anger and jealousy, he was left without any trace of humanity in him. He just killed indiscriminately as long as the person shows connection to Jillyanna. His hatred towards her was bone-deep and there's no space for negotiation or truce.

Jackie and everyone else were still walking towards the east border where Lucian will pick them up with one of his colleagues from work. "Are you sure it was your father?" Jackie asked the little girl to make sure.

"I am not certain but he is the only person I know with that voice. If it wasn't him then, I don't have any idea who else would it be."

"I'll come back to check the place later. The most important thing is to get you out of here safely." Jackie responded while they continued to talk. The guard already told their neighbors what to in case someone would come in pursuit of them and they trusted that they won't sell them out.

It wasn't because they were close with the neighbors but, Jillyanna was. She helped them whenever they needed her help. They also helped her look after the house when she often leaves the country before. Diego even had a rough time when he tried investigating the ownership of the house before. They would never say anything that would harm Jillyanna and her family.

And their trust wasn't broken!

Ryden walked towards the house and rang the doorbell as if he wasn't planning anything evil. No one answered him though which was already within his expectation. He walked around the house but he couldn't find any other way to get inside. He found a small house not far from Jillyanna's place and walked there to get information.

'Knock! Knock! Knock!'

Auntie Fei, who went to the house of the Shans with Auntie Sisi, opened the door and found a young man standing outside the house. "Hello! How may I help you?" Auntie Fei maintained her polite attitude as if she didn't expect the person at all. She was smiling at him like she didn't know he was there to kill her employer.

Ryden made a light bow and greeted. "Good evening, Madam. May I know where the people in that house run to?" He asked while pointing his finger in the direction of Jillyanna's home. He wasn't discreet at all! He was direct and straight to the point.

"I heard that the Madam in that house and her husband left for a party. As for the others, I didn't see them leave the house." Auntie Fei answered, acting like she didn't know Jillyanna and her family.

"You are not hiding them here, are you?"

"Huh? Ah no. I don't really understand what is going on. Do you need something from them?"

"Don't talk sh*t with me! Where are they?!" His eyes were red and glaring daggers and Auntie Fei whimpered on the side like a little animal scared by its predator.

"I don't know. I've been taking care of my old parents here. I am not even friends with the people in that house. Poor people like would not associate with wealthy people like them."

"Tsk!" Ryden left when he got nothing from Auntie Fei. Since they weren't related to Jillyanna, there's no point in killing them since that won't affect Jillyanna. He didn't know that the woman he talked to was one of the two trusted helpers in Jillyanna's house.

He retraced his steps and looked around the place. He found another house which wasn't very far and walked in that direction. The family of five, parents and three kids, were having their dinner when Ryden came knocking on their door.

It was the father who opened the door and found Ryden standing in front of him with a gun being tossed and turn on his hand. The father paled instantly and dropped to his knees. "Sir, just take whatever you want. Please don't harm me and my family. We don't have much get whatever you like."

The wife heard what happened and check on what was happening, finding his husband kneeling on the floor with a stranger in front of him, holding a gun. "Sir, have mercy on us. We are just a poor family."

"I know." Ryden answered flatly. "I am not here to bully you. I just wasn't to ask if you know where Jillyanna and her family go?"

"Jillyanna? Ah! That rich woman?" The father exclaimed and put his index finger on his temple, acting like he was doing some hard thinking. "I saw her left with her husband. I don't know where they went to though. As for the other people, I haven't seen them leave that house. Once evening falls, my family and I don't usually go out. So, we don't know if they left tonight."

"This place isn't that very big. Doesn't she greet you? Many people said that she's a nice woman." Ryden kept talking, wanting the man to trip up some little information to him.

The father chuckled though. "Nah. I don't really know if she's nice. We don't mingle with her since she got so many guards. They all look scary."

"Once they left, what time do they usually come home?"

"I am not really sure. There are times that they wouldn't come home. Sometimes they'd be back early, sometimes very late."

"Okay."

That's it and he left. He was really true to his own words. As long as the person is not related to Jillyanna he wouldn't do anything. In the end, he got nothing and decided to go back to where he left the dead bodies. When he got back, his rage flared up and he shoot the bushed and shrubs like crazy.

Walter Damien's body was gone!

Jackie was running with Walter following behind her. He didn't care about his appearance anymore. He's got bruises and small wounds everywhere. The bullet that Ryden shot him was still stuck on his bulletproof vest. He could only thank his lucky fate that the enemy was stupid.

He didn't check Walter earlier when he tied him. He didn't check him as well after shooting him on his chest. He was really confident in killing him. He was really lucky that Ryden didn't shoot him in the head like how he killed his guards, if so, he would've really died in that place.

"Is my daughter safe?" Walter asked Jackie as he ran behind her.

"Hn. My sister took her away."

"Thank God. I was really afraid that you guys would come out from worry and use the main road. Ryden was waiting to ambush you."

"You daughter heard your warning."

"Where's Jillyanna and Travis? You guys must inform them about it. I believe that mad man won't leave the place."

"There's no need to worry, Lucian was able to contact them."

Jillyanna and Travis got distracted from all the people who wanted to chat with them so, they didn't notice that they missed several calls already. No matter how loud the ringtone was, the music in the venue was even louder. It wasn't after two hours, when they were about to go home that Jillyanna opened her phone.

-Don't come home. Someone wanted to kill all of us.- It was a message from Jackie.

-Be careful on the road and don't come home. We will be running somewhere tonight. – It was from Rylie.

She was just about to call them as panic rose deep in her heart but Lucian's call beat her to it. "They're safe." Those were the magical words that she needed to hear the most. Lucian knew she would be worried after seeing several missed calls so, he kept calling her until she answered it.
