Chapter 457 - THE FIFTH PRINCESS III

A grand wedding should be followed by a grand honeymoon. In their case, they would have to postpone their honeymoon and focus on Jillyanna's health. There's still two months before she could give birth and she was already becoming frailer each day. Her daily exercise became shorter since she would get tired easily. She often gets dizzy and pale even when she wasn't doing anything.

"I want to go to the amusement park." She mumbled while sitting beside her husband who was busy working again.

"You can't even ride anything due to your health. What will you do there?"

"I just want to see the people or watch Jade enjoy herself. We didn't bring her to any trip so, maybe she would enjoy there."

"Won't you feel jealous?"

"Nope. I just want to see something."

"Let's go out in the afternoon, then."

"Really?!"

"Of course. I will be there to take care of you."

It was just two days after the wedding and she was already bored to death. Jade didn't visit her the day after the wedding as well because 'people' said that her parents should spend time together after the wedding. Though it wasn't counted as honeymoon, they still wanted the couple to spend some quality time.

Currently, Jade was staying with the Madrid. She still got one week to spend with them. Jillyanna called her mother to bring the child to the hospital. The moment she finished making a phone call, her teacher came in with Winter. They even brought fresh basket of fruits from the hacienda.

"Morning little lass."

Morning teacher. How have you been doing? I am sorry I had to trouble you with the guards. I couldn't even tend to you while you are here. The sisters couldn't show themselves while in a mission, too."

"That's fine. Winter had been very hospital in your behalf." She put the basket at the center of the small dining table. "I have helped you with the guards. I bet my life on the line that none of them will betray you in the future."

"Why are you saying this?" she had a hunch that her teacher was going to leave already. "Before you leave, can you join us this afternoon to the amusement park?"

"You are going to the amusement?!" the teacher suddenly raised her voice and she even looked towards Travis with accusing eyes. "Why are you bringing your wife to the amusement park?" Even though she said that she won't be prejudiced towards Travis, she couldn't seem to stop herself from doing so.

"She wanted to watch her daughter having fun." Travis simply answered with his expressionless face. It was his characteristic not to involve his emotion with people who didn't like him.

Jillyanna held her teacher's shoulder to pacify her. "I am not going to take any rides. I will just watch my daughter."

What else can she do? She just agreed to come with them in case she would be needed. Her flight was still in the evening so it wasn't a problem.

Though her days were boring, she was still happy since it was rather peaceful compared to her recent days. She didn't have to be wary about someone or something. She felt safe.

Peaceful? No, not yet.

Savannah was currently talking to Calhoun for their new mission. Since the original guards were back, Calhoun wanted them to get back to work. She was right outside Jillyanna's room with Hawk. "I understand Major General. I will check the details later."

"What did he say?" Hawk asked after the phone call.

"Let's talk about this at home." She turned around, only to see Natsu standing behind her. She was no longer startled to see him since she was expecting him to come sooner or later. "What do you want? Be quick since I still have a job to do."

"You know exactly what I want Princess Taira." Natsu placed his hand on his abdomen and made a low dip of his head to formally greet her.

"And why would you think that I would come back?"

Natsu was standing, gawking at her in disbelief. "I…I need you to succeed the throne."

"So that you will live your life free from guilt? Why should I do that?"

Natsu was lost in thought. 'Indeed, why should she do it?'

Savannah peered at him directly in his eyes. "Natsu, I don't blame you for what happened in the past. Yes, I can't forgive you and forget what happened but, that doesn't mean I would harm the innocent. It was my family's fate to fall decades ago and you have nothing to do with that. However, I can't really ascend to the throne. I can't take it."

"But people knew that you are alive." Natsu retorted back at her.

"Then, say that you made a mistake. Do whatever you can to make my name cease to exist. We are destined to live our life like this now and I am happy to see that you are doing well. The country will be in good hands. Do the things that our fathers weren't able to do."

"Won't you change your mind?"

"Nope. I am happy of what I have become today. Whenever you need help to bridge our country with the others, let me know so I can find ways to assist you."

Natsu thought that he would be able to escape the responsibility of the Japanese Empire but he failed. "I will ne enthroned in few months as the next Emperor of the Empire. Will you come?"

"I will watch you."

"Savy, right? Let me call you Savy or Savannah as well."

"Go on."

Natsu stopped forcing her already this time, he just wanted to clear something. Maybe she would feel at ease and her burden will disappear. "I have something to tell you. A very important matter. Can I talk to you alone for a sec?"

Savannah nodded her head before turning to Hawk. "Wait for me before going back to the hacienda. I will be back right away. Don't worry, it wasn't running in our blood to kidnap someone."

Hawk was stunned to hear her words. He was exactly worried about her getting kidnapped but she still trusted her cousin in front of her. She believed that he was an honest man.
