Chapter 446 - WEDDING PREPARATION II

Later that night, as they lie down on their bed, Jillyanna asked Travis the question that Jade asked her.

"How grand is grand?" she mumbled, wrapping her arms on his waist for a hug.

Travis kissed her forehead and placed his hand on her back. "I don't know how to measure a grand event. In my mind, I just want this wedding to be memorable for you. After all, our marriage registration was followed by an accident."

"I'm kind of a little nervous." Jillyanna honestly admitted how she felt. "We still have several enemies our there. I don't want this wedding to be ruined by them."

"Don't worry about that. Your teacher will be coming back tomorrow with the guards."

"Okay." She was just about to close her eyes when she remembered something. "Do you know who buy the area next to ours?"

"Why?"

"I was actually planning to buy that place. I didn't remember it until I saw the construction going on."

"Oh. I didn't pay attention to that area either." Travis lied. He was the one who bought the place with cooperation from everyone.

They all wanted to settle down and have a place of their own. Valkyrie and Brown didn't want to stay far away from them thus, they needed a place to stay close. Hawk wanted to surprise Savannah with a house since he was already planning to propose to her after their next two missions. Winter and Gabriel wanted to have their own space as well. Shein and Riley wanted to invest for a house, too. In the end, they bought the area next to Jillyanna. It was a huge lot and can accommodate five large houses.

Travis made sure that it will be connected with their space so that he can build a fountain, plant different kinds of flowers, chinese bamboo and a pond of koi fish.

Jillyanna didn't know anything about this.

"What do you want that place for?" Travis asked to see if he can make adjustment according to her plan.

"I was planning to give Riley and Shein their own house. And build another one for Jackie. I don't really want these three to be away from me."

"I see." his perfunctory remark made her sleepier. 'I'll ask Jackie about his plan.' he noted it mentally in order to make adjustments.

Next morning, Travis woke up earlier than her. Since he couldn't leave her alone, she sent Jackie a text instead. "Do you want to build a house near your sister's place?"

Jackie was on her way downstairs when she received the message. She stopped at the foot of the stairs and replied to him. "I talked to grandpa and grandma Shan already. They already sold their land area to me."

"I see. That is good then. Jill told me that she didn't want to be far away from the three of you."

The land area owned by grandpa and grandma Shan wasn't really big. It was a 100 meter square area that covered both their house and Jenny's previous place until the border to Jillyanna's house.

Jackie talked to them before if they have any relatives who will inherit the land but they immediately offered to sell the place to her instead. She agreed to it and they already signed the documents. However, she didn't let them leave the place. She asked them to stay until the end.

Grandpa Shan and grandma Shan were thankful to Jillyanna's family. They've been very kind to them even though they were not blood related.

Since Jackie already found her own place, Travis got one less thing to worry about. He cuddled with his wife and waited for her to wake up.

Jackie found Riley and Shein cooking with Auntie Fei. Jade was currently drinking a glass of milk and watching them cook.

"Good morning." she greeted them while pouring a glass of warm water to herself.

"Good morning Auntie Jackie." Jade greeted back with a smile, a milk mustache was covering her upper lip.

"How's your sleep?" Jackie asked her while wiping the mustache of milk away.

"I was so excited for the wedding that I didn't get to sleep early." Jade informed her.

"Then, get some sleep later. You need to be beautiful tomorrow."

"Hn. I will do that."

They had their breakfast together with Jade and left early to meet with the organizer at the reception hall. They still needed to finish the decoration.

Jade was playing in the living room when Valkyrie and Brown came down with sleepy faces.

"What time did you come home last night pretty uncle?" Jade asked as if she was asking her son. "You should not stay very late outside."

Brown almost tripped on his own feet if it wasn't for Valkyrie who immediately grabbed his hands.

"My little Jade, I came home early last night. You just didn't notice it."

"Are you sure? Lying is bad."

"We came home around nine last night." Brown admitted defeat and just told her the truth. "How can you be so perceptive?" he reached his hand and lightly pinched his cheek.

"It's because you still look sleepy. I thought you might have come home late."

"There are different things that will cause someone to be sleepy. You will understand it once you are old enough." Valkyrie told Jade which the little girl just blinked her round eyes.

Brown kicked Valkyrie's foot for spouting nonsense again. If it wasn't because of him, he wouldn't be sleepy right now. They they got home early, he got the chance to sleep after midnight. Valkyrie was just so hungry he didn't know how to satiate him anymore.

"Pretty uncle, kicking is bad also."

Valkyrie chuckled and kissed little Jade's cheek. "Our little Jade is really kind and sensible. That's why everyone loves you." He carried her up in his arms and brought her to the kitchen. "Did you eat breakfast already?"

"Hn. I ate with Auntie Jackie, Auntie Riley and Uncle Shein."

"They left already?"

"Hn. They said that they will finish the decoration at the reception today."
