Chapter 427 - DEATH OF SUMMER

Jackie just reached the corridor to the kitchen when she saw several men running and preparing for combat.

"Hurry up! Someone just infiltrated the place in the north wing!" One after another, they left their station to capture Riley.

"You won't see anyone until the third floor." Shein's voice echoed in her ear when he spoke. She immediately dashed to the cell building without anyone's notice.

Inside the computer room, an officer frowned when he noticed something. "Sir, is it just me or something's off with our security cameras?" he asked towards Vincent who wasn't able to sleep because of the paperworks that he needed to finish before the end of the month.

Vincent looked at the cameras and found it strange as well. He got report from the outside that someone was infiltrating their place and many of his men left their post to find that person. However, when you looked at the cameras, none of them left their posts.

His heart was pounding loudly and he was starting to sweat coldly. 'Oh god! Please tell me it's not my girl again.' He prayed silently while looking at the screens.

The officers who specialized in programming were already moving, trying to gain the control back.

"Shit! They noticed it sooner than I thought." Shein cursed anxiously.

"How much time do we have?" Riley asked while running somewhere to lure the officers away from the compound.

"Ten minutes."

"That's more than enough." Jackie uttered before dashing to the third floor where the Summers were staying.

Two officers were stationed to watch over the cell which made it easier for her to handle. She slid down on the floor to avoid getting shot. She kicked them on their feet, making them fall.

Just as they landed on their back, she immediately roll on her stomach and crouched low to get her hands on their guns. She threw the guns away from them and hit their solar plexus consecutively.

She didn't waste anymore time. She pulled out a pin from her ponytail and used it to open the lock. There was a ring of keys dangling on the side pocket of the officers but she didn't know which one was for which. She couldn't waste more time in identifying the right key, so she might as well use her pin for convenience.

Some of the inmates were awake due to the commotion. Some just ignored what happened and continued to sleep. Some were anxious to know what was going on.

When they saw a woman in black getting inside the room, they were all curious to know who it was.

"Young lady, what are you doing here?" someone asked but Jackie didn't answer at all.

Her eyes were looking towards the three certain cells were all the Summers were being kept.

"Six more minutes." Shein reminded her. Even though the cameras ceased to function in Vincent's end, Shein had full control of them from his room. Therefore, he can see what everyone was doing.

In regional city jail, men and women were only separated inside their cells but they all stayed in the same building.

Without any more delay, Jackie opened the lock to the first cell. There were eight inmates that she needed to kill, all of them were women.

"Who are you?" one of them asked her in fear. She didn't know their names but she could tell from their faces.

"I'm death." Jackie stated nonchalantly as she threw a small pouch. "Get one and eat it." she ordered them but no one moved. "Are you going to eat it or I will kill you?"

"What if you are giving us a poison?" another woman asked.

"Brilliant! I am giving you a poison indeed. Now choose, die silently with this poison or do you want me to break your limbs one after another."

Her face was half covered, making anyone unable to see her expression. The chilling coldness in her eyes brought goosebumps to their body but they couldn't do anything to fight her back.

"Why should we listen to you?" a woman, who was a little bit older than Thomas questioned her.

Jackie gave a hidden smirk at her. In a flash, she took out a small handkerchief and stuffed it inside the woman's mouth. It was all too sudden that she couldn't keep up with her moves. She broke the woman's forearms, one after another.

Her muffled screams couldn't be heard by the other inmates aside the other ladies who were shocked silly with what they witnessed.

"That's for everything you've done to Elizabeth." she whispered beside the woman's ears who was already crying from pain. "You don't deserve to live."

She kicked the woman on the floor and stepped on her legs, the sound of bones cracking were so clear that the other inmates paled. That wasn't all, Jackie stomped on the woman's stomach again and again until she was lifeless.

"I hope your parents will die a horrible death!" another lady shout with her shaking voice.

"My parents are already dead. I'v got nothing to lose. Now, eat it or I will kill you like her."

They scampered towards the small pouch and took one pill after another. Jackie watched them eat the small pill, swallowed it and watched them breath the last oxygen they could take.

The other inmates who were watching from the opposite cells were horrified. They didn't know if they will be the next target and they were all worried. They didn't want to die yet!

"Jackie! You only have two minutes." Shein reminded her again but she didn't care anymore. Her main goal was to kill everyone who caused Jillyanna's misery.

"I'll spare no one except Simon." Jackie mumbled before she opened the next cell. The cell full of inhumane doctors and scientists. The people who was supposed to save lives but took them instead.

"Please spare our lives. We don't want to die yet! We will atone for our sins. Please spare us." They were kneeling on the floor but Jackie didn't care at all.

"Did you spare those kids, those women and those helpless men when you were experimenting them? You didn't, right? So why should I?"

She did the same thing to them. No negotiations needed. She gave them the pills and let them die in front of her.

"Hold them off for another five minutes. Do whatever you can." she ordered Shein who had been working his hands non-stop.

"I'm working on it."

Three cells, all from the Summer family, died in one night. No one knew who it was and when the officers got back their control on the security cameras, they were just a minute late.

Jackie was jogging back to the car where Riley was sitting on its hood. "Let's leave the car here." Riley suggested.

"Fine with me."

Hand in hand, this twin walked their way back to the city silently. The stars sparkled like diamonds in the night sky. The crickets and fireflies was giving them serenity that they haven't felt for a while.

"Did you think it was worth it?" Riley asked.

"Their life can't amount to those that they killed. I don' regret doing it."

"But they aren't the ones behind Jillyanna's recent attack in the hospital."

"But that doesn't mean they won't attack her. Didn't you hear the man I killed earlier. His target was Jillyanna. I would not wait for them to kill her before I take action."

"Are you satisfied?"

"Not yet. I won't be satisfied until I take everyone to their grave." Jackie clenched her fists, feeling the strength in herself.

Riley stopped walking and looked at her sister. "You joined the Police Academy to bring justice to those who needed it but, this is not how they do it, you know. They have the law to follow."

"Did you think police officers are innocent? Don't be. They aren't much different to us assassins." Jackie spoke with apparent annoyance. She hated it when she was being questioned or talked to like this.

"I'm sorry Jackie. I just wanted to make sure that you won't regret the decision you made tonight."

"I won't regret it. Not now, not ever." she retorted before walking briskly towards the city center, stepping into the shadows to hide themselves.
