Chapter 422 - BRIDAL SHOWER I

Everyone had a good time while waiting for Jillyanna to open the gifts that they gave. There were so many things and Jillyanna didn't know where to place them.

"Wait." She placed her hand in front of her again to stop them from talking. "I guess I am missing two people."

"Winter and your teacher are on the way back from the military camp." Gabriel informed her in case that she was looking for them.

"I see. I hope they'll get her soon." Jillyanna uttered before she continued to open the gifts. Since the space beside her were occupied with gifts, Travis decided to bring the gifts upstairs – to their baby's room. He placed everything on the bed since he knew that Jillyanna would like to arrange them herself. She enjoyed doing it and sometimes he would help her if it's too much to handle by herself.

On the second time that Travis carried the gifts, Shein and Hawk helped him to finish the task quickly. On the third time that they carried the gifts upstairs, Winter and her teacher arrived as well.

"Congratulations on becoming a mother." The teacher greeted Jillyanna and gave her a small box. When Jillyanna opened it, her eyes widened in surprise. Even Winter was shocked to see what was inside the box as well. "Let's talk about this gift later."

Jillyanna nodded her head and put the lid back to cover the gift. She placed it inside her bag to make sure that she won't lose it. It was the third gift that she placed inside her bag. First was the gift from Shein that she didn't know what was inside it. Second was the bank-card that Diego gave and lastly, was the gift from her teacher.

Aside from Winter, no one else knew about the gift.

"It's almost eight in the evening. Let's have dinner." Travis told them so that they can take a rest and dine. The dining table was full of different dishes, making Jillyanna's eyes sparkle from happiness. "Sorry to disappoint you my wife but, among these dishes, you can only choose five. No more than that."

"That's fine. I thought you'd forbid me again." She sat beside Travis and let him pick the food that she likes. The only thing she did was to demand, wait, and eat; demand, wait, and eat. "I miss eating these kinds of food." She mumbled after chewing the chicken meat she had.

"As promised, after you have your operation and recover from it, I will cook more food for you and you can eat to your heart's content." Travis whispered while placing another meat on her plate.

"Hn."

They ate and chatted about different things, like the wedding preparation, the upcoming Christmas and New Year, and many other things. They didn't run out of topic for conversation at all. Jillyanna looked around everyone and the cheerful dinner she had. 'Mom, Dad, I finally found the people who truly cares for me, the people who didn't care about my money; those people who only see me as me.' She thought to herself while recalling her parents. "I wish you guys are here." She mumbled to herself.

"Who do you wish to be here?" Cielo who was sitting beside her asked.

"My parents."

"I am sure that they are happy for you. They must have been guiding you all these years." Cielo told her. "They guided you to us and guided you to find Travis once again."

"You are right." Jillyanna smiled happily with this idea. 'Indeed. They must have been guiding me.' She mentally stated to herself, believing that she was never abandoned by her parents.

After dinner, Jillyanna and Travis were separated, confusing them but they trusted their friends and family so they didn't think much about it.

"Don't worry, this won't take long." Savannah spoke to her while leading everyone to the room where she stayed with Hawk for the time being. They didn't bother blindfolding her and just let her see what was inside the room. "Your second surprise!"

"What is it this time?" Jillyanna questioned as she looked around the room. There were red and white curtains, drinks and cookies, gifts, red and white balloons and there were pictures attached to the balloons.

"It is your bridal shower." Jackie answered for everyone. "You guys registered your marriage hastily and the celebration was even postponed after the accident. Now, we finally get the chance to throw a bridal shower for you."

Her nose stung and she felt like crying again. She blinked her eyes to stop her tears from falling and smile. "Thank you so much. I didn't know that you were all busy preparing for this. I didn't even think about this."

"That's the purpose of having family and friends." Cielo and Riley stated in unison. They both looked to each other and laughed.

"I am so happy for you, Yanna. I am sure your parents and Venus felt the same way too." Sky, her foster mother, spoke gently to her. "We can't give you riches and gold but, we can give you our love and support."

"I know it mom and I am thankful that you are always behind me, acting as my mother in behalf of my dead parents."

"Since there are so many of us girls, let us give Jillyanna a group hug." Winter cheerfully announed and approached everyone with an open arm. In the middle group was Jillyanna, laughing heartily from the warm love and kindness she received from them.

"Don't forget our gifts!" Jenny told them.

"Right! Our gifts!"

Somehow, Jillyanna felt that this bridal shower will be full of mischief. And she was right!

Winter picked up her gift and gave Jillyanna the small box. What laid inside were two tickets to Bali, Indonesia. "I made sure to book the flight for next year in April. That way, you can have your belated honeymoon."

Jillyanna was speechless. Before she could even react, Jenny gave her another gift. She unwrapped the gift and pulled out what was inside. "Oh my gosh! Jenny!" Jillyanna was so shocked that she placed the thing inside the box.

"It was Winter who told me to buy it for you." Jenny responded with a red face. She, herself, felt embarrassed with the gift.
