Chapter 371 - HONEST TRAVIS

Around five in the afternoon, Jillyanna woke up and found Travis wrapping up his work. He was about to close his laptop when he saw her stretching her body on the bed.

"How's your sleep?" Travis asked and kept his things away before coming to his side.

"It was great. Did anyone come while I was asleep?"

"Shein came to send some documents. Diego also visited for a while with Cheska. They didn't want to disturb your sleep so they left few minutes later."

"I see." Jillyanna was clutching her blanket while looking down on her white knuckles. "Don't you get bored here?"

"I don't. As long as you are with me, I don't get bored." Travis caressed her face. "Do you want to take an afternoon walk? It isn't hot outside now."

"Sure sure. I'd love to do that." Jillyanna answered and climbed down from her bed. Travis fixed her blanket while she took her long coat and wore it to keep her warm. "Let's take a walk at the garden."

She reached out her hand and held his, intertwining their fingers before Travis put their hands inside his coat pocket.

When they went out, Top and the other body guards were just standing outside Jillyanna's hospital room.

"Watch over the room. Don't let anyone in aside from Jackie." Travis reminded the guards before walking down the corridor towards the elevator.

"How's your work today?" Jillyanna asked him when they got inside the elevator.

"It was quite tiring but I was okay. I had a good time in the afternoon, too." He answered with mischief dancing in his eyes. Jillyanna didn't know why but she squinted her eyes while reading what was behind his expression.

"You didn't take advantage of me while sleeping, did you?" Her eyebrow was raised and she was waiting for him to lie or tell the truth.

Travis laughed and pulled her close to him. "What do you think did I do to you?" he started teasing her to get back with what she did this morning.

Jillyanna pouted and glared at him. "How would I know?"

"You don't have any idea? Want me to give you a hint?"

Jillyanna didn't know what to say to her shameless husband at all. Her blush started creeping from her neck to her face and she felt her face increasing in temperature.

"No need. I don't know what you did. I don't want to guess either."

"Then, why are you blushing?" Travis continued to tease her which earned him a pinch on his waist. "Are you really pinching me or tickling me?" he whispered close to her and even gave a light bite on her ear.

When the elevator door opened on the ground floor, Jillyanna was beet red and was looking down to avoid anyone's gaze which was directed at them. They both walked out and Travis had a wolfish grin on his lips.

"You didn't really do anything at me, right? You must be teasing me." Jillyanna spoke after composing herself. She knew Travis would do something if she wasn't in her current condition but knowing that she's frail, she knew Travis wouldn't do anything to her. "You are just getting back at me for what I did this morning."

Travis chuckled and kissed the top of her head. "What I said was half true and half lie."

"What do you mean?"

"I really did something to you but it wasn't anything shameless." Travis opened up with a smile on his face. "I took a picture of your sketch and posted it."

"That's all?" Jillyanna asked with a doubt.

"Maybe if you aren't frail, I might have done something." he added which made Jillyanna chuckled this time.

"I knew it. Hahaha I was so sure that you'd do something if I am not sickly. But now? I really doubt it."

Travis walked her to a vacant bench and sat with her. "Jill, I was just thinking...hmm..how about we hold our wedding next month and just come back here after?"

"You don't mind us spending our honeymoon in the hospital?" Jillyanna asked him since it would be an important of their life and she wanted it to be special for them.

However, Travis didn't want to think about it. Sometimes, no matter how positive he was, he would sometimes think of the bad side.

What if Jillyanna would really be gone? Doesn't it mean that she won't get the grand wedding he owed her? Doesn't it mean that she won't get to celebrate the baby shower?

Honeymoon? It doesn't matter to him anymore. All he wanted was to spend more time with her.

Travis turned his body and looked directly in her eyes. His reflection was clear and he could see his own sad expression.

He gently squeezed her hand which he had been holding since a while ago. "Jill, I don't mind us staying in the hospital for our honeymoon. Wherever you are, I'll stick with you and that is enough for me." For once, he wanted to be honest with his fears in front of her. "Sometimes, I also fear that you would be gone and the mere thought would drive me crazy. Every second of every minute in every day, I fear that you would fall asleep and won't wake up again. Sometimes, I don't want you to sleep. Losing you scares me the most." He took a deep breath to calm his heart. He felt so stuffy inside and his throat constricted due to his tears that he was holding back. "Jill, no matter how I think positively for us, I couldn't help but think on the negative side. I don't really want to lose you."

A single tear is amounting to a man's pride. But to Travis, pride was useless. He couldn't hold back and cried in front of her. He didn't know when he started be a crybaby but when it comes to her, his tears would just flow out.

"Jill, don't leave me please. I'm begging you. I don't want to lose you at all. I couldn't see myself without you." He was holding on to her hand tightly as if it was his life line.

Jillyanna's tears fell but she still managed to smile and comfort him. She pulled him close and hugged him. "I will fight for us. I will fight for my life. Whatever you think is right, I will follow through with your plans. You don't have to beg me and be scared."

However, no matter what you say in the present, the future still remains unknown.
