Chapter 353 - FORMAL ENGAGEMENT

The event continued and this time a shy Cheska went in front of them. "Personally, I would not consider us close friends specially with what happened between us. And I would not say sorry about your ruined plan either. I just want to thank you that you stayed beside Travis. I can see how happy he is right now with you and I can tell that you are happy, too. So I guess, what I did in the past was right."

"You did a great job!" Travis happily gave her a thumbs up with her statement.

Jillyanna could shake her head helplessly and smile to Cheska. "Jillyanna, thank you so much for bringing happiness to him." Cheska gave her a flower and returned to her seat.

Then Jenny stood up and gave her a flower and a letter before going back to her seat. Everyone was silent but Jillyanna only squinted her eyes while looking at the young girl.

"You tend the garden this morning again." Jenny flinched when she heard this statement and she didn't know where to hide. "I'll let you off this time." Jenny released a sigh of relief on her seat.

"I told you she will be mad." Cielo scolded the girl beside her. "Did you stay too long under the sun? You knew she didn't want you to damage your skin over those flowers."

"I only stayed for an hour or was it an hour and half? But I know it wasn't more than two ours." Jenny justified herself without listening to Wynwyn's message anymore. "Will she scold me later?"

"Probably."

Jenny just wanted to tend the garden early in the morning since she wanted to help with the preparation but now, she would be scolded again. Jillyanna always reminded her to deal with the garden in the after when the sun is not too hot but she always love watching the flowers bloom in the morning.

Jenny was lost in her thought that she didn't hear what Wynwyn said or what Sky said after Wynwyn or that Winter only gave a letter like her. She was worried!

In Winter's case, she gave her a flower and a letter since she couldn't hear and she was avoiding herself to stand out. It would be embarrassing if someone would ask her a question and she wouldn't hear it, that would leave the person in awkward position and she didn't want that to happen during this important event.

After everyone gave their flowers Jillyanna stood in front of them with a genuine smile hanging on her lips. "I'm really happy with this surprise but may I ask why I didn't receive 18 roses?"

Travis raised his eyebrow and spoke. "Why would you receive 18 roses? Are you 18?"

"Nope. I should be 23 in three months."

"See? It isn't even your birthday." Travis retorted which made Jillyanna wonder what was really going on.

"So this isn't a second debut? So why am I getting flowers?"

"Because I want you to know that these people truly cares for you." Travis quickly answered her without blinking.

"Then why is it only the girls? What are the boys doing here then?" Travis knew exactly what she meant and their silly banter made him feel even more nervous.

"Do you think I'd let other men give you flowers?"

"Then why didn't you give me one?" Jillyanna asked. Her eyes were clearly telling that she was confused and she still didn't know what was bound to happen.

Travis closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he opened them again, he smiled at her and stood up to face her.

"My dear wife, nobody said you are having a second debut tonight. Also, I am not just giving you flowers but I'm giving you all of these." Travis gestured his hand to the whole venue and to all the people who came to support them.

"So what is this all about?" Jillyanna questioned him again and this time, Travis finally answered her.

And his answer shocked her silly that she was dumbfounded and speechless. In front of her, Travis, bent down and stand on one knee.

Jillyanna blinked her eyes and she even raised her left hand to see that her wedding ring was still there.

Everyone laughed at Jillyanna's adorable reaction. She was indeed clueless of this event.

"I wasn't able to court you formally due to several reasons. When we talked about the wedding few months ago, I didn't even get the chance to do this and we just hurried to register our marriage. Then, I was in coma. You suffered so much in my behalf and I felt so guilty about it. Now, even though we are legally husband and wife, I will still court you everyday." Travis cleared his throat because his emotions were choking him and he couldn't let his voice out. "My dear wife, this is an event that I don't want you to miss in your life. And since we are going to hold a grand wedding next month, I would like to take this chance to properly propose to you. Jillyanna Summer Xavier Madrid Madrigal, will you marry me?"

Jillyanna had long been crying since he started his first sentence. She was so overwhelmed with emotions that she couldn't keep her tears to herself. They just flowed out of her tear-ducts and fell on the ground.

She had no idea that he was planning all these. They've been so busy with work, with personal matter, with the issue of Gabriel and Winter, there's just so many things that happened around them but he still managed to surprise her like this.

"You don't really have to do this, you know. Even without this grand proposal or formal proposal or whatever you call this, I'd still marry you." Jillyanna wiped her tears away and helped Travis stand. "And it's really silly. I'm your wife already but you still asked me that question. If I said no, will you divorce me?"

"How can that happen? You can only say yes to me." Travis was back to his shameless self again. He put on the engagement ring on her finger and kissed his wife. "I love you so much Jill."

"I love you too Travis." Jillyanna hugged him and smiled happily. "Thank you everyone for making this happen."

"When it's our time to get married, you' have to prepare a grand proposal like this too." Riley shouted making everyone laugh.

"Get married? You are still nineteen for heaven's sake!" Jackie scolded her sister and looked at Shein. "Are you guys planning to get married?"

"Not yet. She isn't even twenty-five yet." Shein immediately responded to make things clear.

Jackie looked at Riley and knocked her head but Riley just smiled at her sister.

"If I'd take it seriously, I'd be preparing a lot." Jillyanna commented while looking at everyone around the garden since most of them were about to get married.

The atmosphere was really cheerful and there was no disturbance from any media personnel. Jillyanna liked it so much.

Unknown to everyone, while they were happily having a celebration, a news was already brewing in social media about Jillyanna being ill-mannered and publicly shaming someone in city A.
