Chapter 180 - SHE'S DISTRACTED

"Ehh?" Jillyanna widened her eyes in shock. She stared at the picture with disbelief in her eyes. "I just saw her last night. She was eating ramen in a convenience store when I passed by her on my way here."

"We can't really predict what fate would bring us." Valkyrie stated. His face was devoid of emotions but his eyes spoke the sadness he felt for the victim.

Jillyanna felt bad as well. She would have never thought that the young lady would be the next victim. "I'll come out for awhile. I need a breather."

"Hn. Don't wander around." Valkyrie reminded her before continuing his work. Major General Calhoun already sent some of his men to observe the houses near the mountain. They couldn't let anything escape under their observation.

Jillyanna looked at the dummy targets which Savannah used for practice. The night was young and she didn't want to go home yet. She didn't want to see Winter at home. She didn't want to talk to her.

'Is there anything else that I forgot to tell Travis?' she thought to herself while trying to remember any useful information within her brain.

"This is really frustrating! She could've just called me and tell me everything! There's no need to come and find me." she murmured to herself. She took out her phone and went outside the gate.

She was holding on to her necklace while staring at the string of numbers. "Should I call her or not?" She mumbled again. She felt so nervous. "What if she spoke to Travis about me?"

She was still brooding over the choice of calling Winter or not. She was very distracted and her anxiety was rising.

"I hate-mmfhm" she lost her strength and her vision turned black. 'What the heck?!' that's what she thought before she succumbed to drowsiness.

As promised, Savannah went home earlier than yesterday. She wanted to practice more with Jillyanna's supervision and to give Hawk and Valkyrie the notes she got.

"Where's Jillyanna?" Valkyrie asked her when she arrived. Savannah looked at him in confusion.

"I didn't see her. Did she arrive already? She might be in my room." Savannah spoke and handed her bag to him which contained her notebooks.

"I didn't see her in your room. She went out earlier to get some air after knowing the news. She had been acting really strange."

"Did she tell you if she's going home?" Valkyrie asked Hawk this time who came out to greet Savannah.

"Okaeri nasai." Hawk greeted her before facing Valkyrie. "She didn't tell me that she's going home."

"Are you sure? She didn't say anything?" Savannah suddenly felt afraid. She felt like she had a deja vu. It was because of her that Jillyanna was kidnapped before and she felt guilty once again.

"She must be home. I realized that she was wearing the same bracelet that Travis gave her before. If she's missing, Travis would call us already." Valkyrie mentioned.

"I see." Hawk nodded.

However, Savannah didn't feel at ease at all. In the end, she decided to give Travis a call.

"RV, is Jillyanna home?" She asked him, almost a whisper because she was afraid to know the truth.

Travis didn't answer her but he opened his laptop immediately. He was trying to locate her but there was no response. The alarm didn't go off so it means that she's alive but, he didn't know where she was.

"I can't find her. The alarm is still intact but I couldn't get a signal from her. She was still at your place when the signal was jammed." Travis told them. His voice was dripping cold and Savannah could feel his rising anger.

"I didn't see her when I came home so I thought that she didn't arrive yet." Savannah stated, her voice was trembling from fear and anxiety. She would never forgive herself if something happen to Jillyanna.

Travis closed his eyes to clear his mind but all he could see was the anxious face of Jillyanna when she left home. He was certain that she was hiding something from him again.

"I don't care about that mission you are tasked to do, find her and bring her back home." Travis stated before he ended the call. He contacted Lucian first to check if he knew something but there was none. Cielo didn't get a call from Jillyanna either. Her parents didn't know anything as well.

"What exactly happened?" Diego asked who came to find him after receiving his call. Cheska was also gasping for breath behind him.

Winter heard the commotion so she came down to see what's going on. "Hey Dee, how are you?" She greeted Diego.

When Diego saw her, he snickered playfully. "Was Jillyanna jealous of her that's why she left?"

Winter's smile faltered and she flicked his forehead. "Careful with what you're saying."

"Jillyanna didn't leave. She promised that she won't leave me and I believe her." Travis stated with a solemn face. They couldn't tell what he was thinking but they knew he's worried.

"Why? What happened to Jillyanna?" Winter asked them.

"She's missing. I can't find any signal of her."

"Who's the last person with her?" Winter asked. She had her phone ready to call someone.

"Hawk and Valkyrie." Travis stated. He was also sending information to all his men to find her. There was only a single sentence on his message -'Do everything you can to find her.'

Winter called Savannah immediately and asked if Jillyanna brought something with her from any of the accessories.

"Yes. Hawk said that she took the necklace. She was supposed to practice with it." Savannah answered immediately.

"Got it. Thanks." Winter put down her phone and ran back to her room. She pulled out her laptop that hasn't been used for a long time and plugged it on the available outlet.

Travis really wanted to blame her cousin for showing earlier which cause Jillyanna to be distracted but seeing how anxious she was to find her friend, he couldn't find the strength to scold her.
