Chapter 171 - CONFESSION OF SECRETS III

Jillyanna never thought that Lyka would put her words into actions. They were just getting along fine. She would share her foods with her knowing that Jillyanna was a glutton. She would lend her some of her favorite books and sometimes, she would bring her to sceneries that would warm your heart.

The last time they talked, Lyka brought her in the forest at the back of their training building. In the middle of the forest, there was a high waterfall and a fresh water lake glimmered under the sun.

"This place is great." Jillyanna commented as she looked around. Birds chirping and rabbits hopping, the place was just like a paradise.

"It's a great thing that our place is situated here in this mountainous area and not in the city." Lyka responded. "If I die, I want to be buried somewhere here."

"What are you talking about? Don't follow your parents yet. Have you lived your life to the fullest?" Jillyanna spoke while staring into space. "Even though my parents left me, I don't want to leave this world yet. I still want to have a baby."

Lyka burst into a fit of laughter when she heard the last statement from Jillyanna. "Are you high? You don't want to get married but you wanted to have a baby? How will you do that? Hook up with someone, let him bang you and run?"

"Yup. If I can get a baby that way, why not? I don't want a husband."

"Stop being ridiculous!" Lyka laughed at her again. She's envious with Jillyanna's mindset because no matter how she try to be optimistic, her heart was already dead.

Jillyanna didn't know that it would be their last time talking to each other. She was awoken by Winter from her room and was told to change her clothes.

She didn't know why but she's got a bad feeling already. Some of her other sisters were crying in the hall, some were throwing deathly glares at her and some were emotionless.

"What's going on? Where are you bringing me?" Jillyanna asked in confusion. It was raining hard and Winter didn't even let her get an umbrella. She let her inside the car and drove somewhere. The place wasn't far from where they stayed so they reached it in no time.

A crowd encircled a certain spot and several policemen were looking down and sad. Jillyanna tried to mix with the crowd and soon found herself in front of a dead body.

"Lyka? Lyka? Is that you?" she blinked her eyes a couple of times to get a clear view. She was doubting her vision because of the rain.

"Do you know the victim?" one of the police officers asked.

"Why the hell are you still asking me?! It's been raining hard and yet you didn't get her out of this place! How can you let her body get soiled with dirt!" Jillyanna burst in anger which stunned the police officers. Even the crowd took a few steps away from her. "Get lost if you can't do anything!"

She cried so hard and wanted to get close to the dead body. The police tried restraining her together with Winter who was worried that she might flipped her switch.

"Ma'am you can't approach her now. You will damage the available evidence." the officer stated.

"Are you an idiot?! What else can you get from her! Just take her away already!" Jillyanna shouted at them. Right on time, the ambulance came which was very very late. "No wonder she couldn't trust the authorities. You're inhumane and beast." She hurled them insulting words which the officers didn't care.

"Just let her be. We know how difficult it is to accept someone'a death." one of the police officers said.

After they put Lyka on a the ambulance to send her to the morgue, Jillyanna and Winter went home. Winter left her phone number to them in case there are questions they needed to ask.

Jillyanna went to her room and locked it. She didn't want to see anyone right now. Not even her teacher. They were all mourning for the death of Lyka.

"It was her who told Lyka to do it! How dare she act like innocent."

"If she didn't say her opinion, Lyka wouldn't do it."

"It was her who pushed her to death."

"What a cold and heartless woman."

Jillyanna heard their whispers loud and clear. Whenever she go out to take a shower, to eat, to practice, everyone will watch her with their accusing eyes.

She was even called to the station to help with the investigation. "There's no need to investigate if you can't do anything. Don't waste my time."

"You don't want us to get justice for her?" the officer asked. It was so surprising that the girl wasn't demanding justice for the dead.

Jillyanna snickered and looked at the officer interrogating who was interrogating her. "Didn't you guys cause her death?"

"What do you mean?"

"Few years back, her father was shot on his way home and her mother was stabbed to death. She asked for justice but you just brushed the case away. So, she took the matter in her hands because of your incompetency. She was ready to die just to get justice for her parents. She was suited to do your job than you do. All of you here are useless."

The officer wasn't able to respond. He was overwhelmed with her coldness and anger. "Check your files and maybe you can find something else. Don't bother me anymore if you can't even do your work."

Jillyanna was sent home after half an hour. She didn't speak to anyone but she would still practice in their hall. She had broken several dummies already from so much force but she didn't stop. She vent her anger and regrets on them.

Everyone even started to worry because she was no longer in her usual self. Winter even fought with her to exhaust her but in the end it was Winter who was wounded and bruised.
