Chapter 159 - A SECRET

NOTE: Hi everyone! I have finished sorting my notes and chapters already today. I am really sorry for the mistakes I made these past few days.

Here's what happened, Chapter 150 and 152 were the same. The original chapter is 150. So I have edited 152 and input Enzo's story which was supposedly release on the later part of this novel.

If you have paid for the 152, you can go back and check that it's a different chapter now. Thank you so much for understanding.

I can only input 2 chaps today because of the error. Tomorrow, I will make up for this mistake and release 7 chapters.

Thank you for understanding ^_^!

Jillyanna woke up from her nightmare. Her back was drenched with her cold sweat. Travis was holding her hand and relief flashed across his eyes when she woke up.

"I'm here Jill. I'm here. Don't worry, we'll find your father soon." Travis spoke to her softly trying to calm her down.

Her eyes were restless and she couldn't seem to focus on him. She was breathing heavily and he could feel her heart pounding in her chest when she leaned her back on him.

"Don't go anywhere." Jillyanna told him while trying to catch her breath.

"I won't go anywhere. However, you need to change your clothes cause your back is drenched with sweat."

"Get me a new dress." she asked him which he followed immediately. She sat on their bed while waiting for him to get a new night dress for her.

He picked up his large shirt instead and helped her wear it instead of her silk night dress. She didn't refuse his choice and just wore the shirt he gave her.

"Travis?" she called out his name as she put on the shirt over her head.

"Hn."

"Just stay with me. Don't go anywhere. Don't leave my sight."

"Even if I want to sweetheart, I am sure that there are times you wouldn't want to see me."

"I know what you mean. Don't even go on that area or I will really kick you out." she threatened him just as her head popped out from the shirt's head hole.

"Jill?" It was his turn to call out his name.

"What is it?"

"I will love you and our baby for the rest of my life."

She stared at him for awhile before rolling her eyes on him. "Thanks for comforting me. I am fine now. Let's go back to sleep."

For the first time, she pulled him to sleep beside her. She even used his arms as her pillow and hugged his waist. "I am upset so let me do this for now." She easily made an excuse which Travis didn't try to refute at all.

He hugged her back and caressed her hair to sooth her nerves. "Do you want to find your father?"

"Not now. Probably after giving birth. I don't want to add any more stress during pregnancy."

"Alright. Whenever you're ready, we can always find him."

"Thank you." she told him again even though she said these words before they slept. "Thank you for finding me and for not giving up on me."

Travis kissed her forehead again like he usually does. Jillyanna had gotten used to it and she was no longer shy around him except during intense activities like the French kiss and the scene in the shower room.

"Let's go back to sleep." she stole a kiss on his jaw and snuggled closer to him.

Travis was getting used to her sweet and cold personality now. In fact, she was only cold to him when they sometimes bring up the past. Most of the time, she's sweet, shy, cute and adorable in his eyes.

Travis held her in his arms and they both let go of their worries to get back to sleep. A smile was still plastered on Jillyanna's face when she closed her eyes to sleep.

The next day, Savannah was busy practicing her accessories at the back garden. She used woods and stones as her target while she's trying to get used to the grip of her accessories.

"Tomorrow is the day that we start this plan. We don't know when the criminals will strike so we should always be prepared." Valkyrie spoke while picking up the next item she needed to use.

"I'll ask Major General to send us few men while we checked on suspects. Everyone should be on standby during Savannah's time in the university." Hawk added.

"I agree to that." Travis spoke from the door to the back garden. Jillyanna was following behind him with a glass of milk on her hand. "You should ensure Savannah's safety."

"That's for sure RV." Valkyrie responded to him. He noticed Jillyanna was rather pale than usual so he expressed his worry. "Are you alright Jillyanna? You look a bit pale today."

"I was having a nightmare and I wasn't able to sleep properly. But I am fine. Don't worry about me." Jillyanna responded to him with a smile.

"Are you guys going out today?" Savannah asked after picking up the things she threw earlier. She put them back on the box so that she can clean them afterwards.

Jillyanna eyed Travis if he's got any plans but he only shook his head. "Well, Travis got no plan for today but I have. I want to go shopping." Jillyanna announced happily with a wide grin on her face.

Savannah hesitated for a moment but ask her anyway. "Can I go with you? I need to buy a few things, too and I need your opinion on this matter."

"Sure. How about we leave after lunch?" Jillyanna mentioned.

"Okay." Savannah agreed. Since the women made the plan already, they couldn't do anything else but compromise.

Jillyanna noticed Savannah looking towards Hawk earlier so this shopping must have something to do with him. Before, she had a hunch with what's going on between Valkyrie and Brown. It goes the same with Savannah and Hawk, too. She felt that there was something different between them.

No matter how curious she was, she wouldn't pry over someone's privacy so she just kept her mouth shut and watched at the sideline with Travis.

"Wait!" Jillyanna walked over to the box that contained different things. "Where did you guys get these?" she asked the three of them who were using the accessories earlier.

"These things were sent to us last night for Savannah's safety tool during the mission." Valkyrie answered.

"Who owned these?" she asked them again.

"Lieutenant Colonel Winter Avery owned these." Hawk answered directly.

"Oh. I see." she responded like it was nothing at all. Within just a split second, nobody noticed the fear and coldness that reflected in her eyes.
