Chapter 126 - DRUG RAID I

The night grew darker and the city lights were getting brighter. Travis stood at her window, staring into space, sighing in restlessness.

"You've been sighing for a while now. I understand that you're worried but you have to trust them." Jillyanna spoke to him.

Right now, he looked so worried and stressed. Not only because of his enemy but because his friends will be raiding another drug house and port.

Supposedly, they were to stay at the mansion but Jillyanna wanted to go home. It's not because she missed her home but because he knew Travis was worried for his friends.

When they came home, Savannah and the others were done preparing and was about to leave. They still had to join the briefing and further preparation with the whole troop.

Travis didn't stop. He could only wish for them to succeed. He really wanted to tell Valkyrie what's going on with Brown but it will be a distraction so, he stopped himself from spilling the beans.

The troop will be divided into two. One team will be sent to raid the drug house where all high drug lords will meet. Another team will be sent to a port where the drugs were unloaded.

Major General Calhoun brought them together for a meeting. "Brown and Valkyrie will lead team A to raid the house since they were familiar of its topography from continuous monitoring. Savannah and Hawk will be leading team B to raid the port. Don't storm in blindly. Again team, even if people say we're half dead in military, I still don't want anyone dying in my group. Go and get yourself ready."

"Yes sir!" They all made a salute and left following their team leads.

Savannah brought out a huge map of the port. There were markings as to where they can find the drugs and the dense population of goons that they were going to face.

Hawk started the briefing of their mission. Major General Calhoun checked on them before giving them devices that would monitor everyone's position.

The same thing went for Brown and Valkyrie's team. It was Valkyrie who's briefing the team and giving instructions.

Brown had been silent since they left Jillyanna's house. They were not talking, like how it was years ago. The team felt the weird atmosphere as well but they didn't dwell on it since they're going to do an important mission.

Major General Calhoun made sure that medical personnels were around to provide first aid if anyone's hurt.

His team was the object of admiration from anyone in the military. Unknown, was a code to name them. They were composed of different people from different teams, brought to his camp for special training. They were tasked to take S-class missions, the most difficult task of all missions. Still, his team has the lowest death rate. For the past five years, he only lost two men due to an accident during mission.

From then on, he promised to make sure that no one dies in his team. Their trainings were thrice the difficulty compared to the regular training. Which was the reason why Savannah and the others found it quite relaxing with Travis.

Before the mission started a woman in her black boots, black tight jeans, black hoodie that covers half of her face, showing only her red lips came.

"You finally got an agreement from him?" Major General Calhoun asked. "Did you inform your cousin about this? You know how much he treasures his friends."

The girl chewed her bubble gum while twirling her hair with her index finger. "He knew already."

"You've been eyeing him ever since. Make sure to keep him safe." He reminded her.

The woman smiled and raised her head, looking at the man opposite her. "Don't worry uncle, I'm here to protect him."

She left after saying her piece and walked towards the tent where her goal was having a meeting. No one noticed her at all. She was just like a shadow, keeping her place in the dark.

After the short briefing, everyone started to move and disperse to their raid location.

Maybe not everyone knew she was there but Brown had been fully aware of her presence.

'Didn't I tell her to be on standby? Why is she following me?' his lips twitched at the thought. If only he didn't want to keep this a secret, he would've kicked her already.

They continued to move silently to the drug house, crawling on the ground to keep themselves low.

'Huh? Where the hell is she?' Brown noted while looking around. He couldn't sense her presence at all. Using his scope, he looked around the area, only to find the dead bodies and a shadow leaping from one place to another.

"Damn it! We'll move to phase 2. No need to continue staying here." Brown whispered, delivering his words through the earpiece. He sense the people looking at his direction, through gritted teeth, he stood up and said, "They guards are dead."

Even if they didn't know how it happened, Valkyrie was starting to suspect him. He kept looking towards him but Brown ignored him.

They continued their mission as usual. True with his words, they all found the dead bodies of the guard.

The place was a mess. They continued walking and found a hall where people gathered together. It wasn't clear though if they were still sane.

It wasn't what was known to them. "How did this happen?" one of the men asked in surprise.

Men and women, lying on the floor sleeping quietly. Only the young dancers, clearly a product of human trafficking, were left. They were scared from what was happening around them.

To their shock, a beautiful woman appeared in front of their captain. "I couldn't wait. Shall we go now?"

Brown knocked her head casually. "Didn't I tell you to be on standby?"

"But that would be boring! Shouldn't you be thanking me? I saved your time." She didn't wait for anyone to react and grabbed his hand to leave the place.

When Valkyrie snapped out from being surprised and shocked, Brown was already taken by the woman.

"Wait! Lieutenant Colonel, wait!" He called out to them.

A dagger slid past him, wounding his face lightly. "Don't you dare follow us!" She warned him and dragged Brown out of the place.
