Chapter 93 - FAMILY ?

Travis looked at her with worry. Brown and Hawk were on alert mode as well. Knowing how important Jillyanna to Travis is, both men can't allow anything to happen to her.

There was recognition in Jillyanna's eyes but she feigned ignorance in front of the man. She even looked confused and wondering who he was.

"Excuse me but, I think you've mistaken my wife for someone else." Travis commented as he walked towards Jillyanna to protect her just in case the man was actually dangerous.

"I see. I'm sorry for barging in. She looked similar to my younger sister who died due to an accident." The doctor said but Jillyanna didn't say anything at all. She moved closer to Travis and held the hem of his shirt.

"I am sorry doc. However, my parents aren't dead yet. In fact they will be visiting me in a few hours." she could only pray that this doctor will leave before her family arrives.

"Is that so? I'm sorry for bothering you. I will leave then." the doctor walked out with his head hanging low. Without him knowing, Brown noticed the smirk on his lips.

Jillyanna took a long breath and released it. "I know who's after my mother's research now. Too bad, they cannot have it."

"Don't think too much about it. I will not allow them to get close to you no matter what." Travis responded to her, pulling her in his arms, giving her a warm hug. "He was really a family then?"

Jillyanna pushed him a little and walked back to her bed with a faint but cold laughter. "Don't make me laugh. What family are you talking about? They are nothing but a blood link. I don't recognize anyone from my mother's side as a family."

"How about your father?" Travis asked. He was curious as well since she mentioned that she doesn't have a father.

Jillyanna fiddled with her fingers as she tried recalling her past memories. Brown and Hawk didn't want to pry on her private life but they needed to know it in case Travis would ask them to investigate the whereabout of her father. Jillyanna didn't mind either. It's in the past and there's nothing she can do about it.

"My father's name is Anton Xavier. As far as I can remember, he never argued with my mother. He was very indulgent and would always plant my mother's favorite flowers. He didn't want my mother to get wrinkles and would always put my mom's well-being first before his. He was a very loving man. I don't know for what reason but he suddenly disappeared. We waited for him. My mother waited for him. In the end, he never came and my mother was gone. I still don't know where he is and I am not ready to find out yet."

"Won't it be better that you know the truth about his disappearance earlier than later?" Brown asked which earned a smile from Jillyanna.

"I really want to know but not now. I don't think my heart can take whatever news I get. I don't know anyone from my father's side. But my father, even if he left me alone, I still consider him as a family because he really took care of us." Jillyanna responded with a smile. "Stop with this drama already. It's not good. Anyway, you guys should go home and prepare if you're going somewhere. No need to worry about me."

"We are indeed planning to leave. Do you need something? We can bring it back for you." Hawk asked her with concern.

Jillyanna waved her hand in front of her. "No need. You brought so much for us already and I will be discharged soon."

Hawk and Brown didn't stay for long since Travis gave them a mission. It has to be done before she gets home and before he goes back to work.

Travis and Jillyanna was left alone again. "You have not eaten since yesterday." she said to Travis who was busy arranging her bed. "You have to eat. How will you take care of me if you are so weak?"

"I will eat after this. By the way, I was told that you can be discharged tomorrow morning. Valkyrie had asked someone to fix the door at home already so it is safe to go back." he responded while folding the blanket for her.

"Okay." she nodded her head and walked to the couch so she can sit properly. "You said you owned an entertainment industry, which one are you managing everyday? The plaza or the entertainment?"

She didn't know what else to talk so she asked those questions which was also a way for her to get to know him.

Travis finished his task before walking to sit beside her. "I visited J Entertainment sometimes since I entrusted Diego to manage it. Most of times, I manage the plaza. Do you want to sign with our company? You will definitely become famous."

"Do I need that? I've got millions of people following me already. Joining your company is like robbing off someone with their resources. I don't like that." she answered him with a calm and collected expression.

"Right. You don't need it. You earn millions already." He chuckled while saying this, receiving a deathly glare from her. "I am so excited for your music video."

"I am too. I hope my fans will like it." she smiled genuinely this time and the joy was reflecting in her eyes.

Travis finally found a thing that could make her smile. "Do you really have to stop singing? Your fans will be sad. I am even following you."

Jillyanna thought for a while about it. "I decided. I will stop singing for a while but I won't stop posting. How about I make vlogs and post it? Won't it be fun?"

"That's a brilliant idea. They would still be able to interact with you." Travis agreed happily. Whatever she says, it goes. No argument needed. He will just stay with her to support her.

"You think so? I know that my braincells are amazing. That's what my father would always tell me." she praised herself and awarded Travis a beautiful smile, showing her dimple on her left cheek. "Our baby will be smart for sure. I'm smart and so are you. Oh my! I am so excited with my future endeavor." she squealed with so much happiness that she didn't mind the pronouns she used.
