Chapter 190 - [Bonus ] Sofia's Irritation

Name:Ceo Unrivaled Author:inflict
After a moment of contemplation, Sofia released another sigh and contacted Stephen. She could no longer count how many times she had sighed for just a day. And as the ringing sound started to buzz in her ear, a ringtone of some oriental flute tune erupted near her mini desk.

A mobile phone that was definitely not hers was placed on it. And the screen was flashing brightly while her phone call was trying to connect. Sofia did not need to examine the phone for her to know who owned it.

"ARGH... what bad luck!" Sofia lamented. On the mini desk was Stephen's phone blaring loudly with a strange melody. It could only mean that he had left it there before exiting Sofia's place.

Now, Sofia sensed another wave of irrational irritation in her chest. This unexplainable stress really upsets her. It was something that she was having a hard time not control.

"I don't remember switching attitude in the past. I definitely have complete self-control no matter what the situation was. But now... why is this that it's hard to control this irritation? This original Sofia is actually too hot-tempered too. What a bother!" she mumbled after examining the memories of her body. She discovered that the original Sofia would only vent her anger in the online games that she was playing.

While she was trying to gather all remaining calmness she had, Stephen's figure appeared in the doorway. He did quickly come back and he brought a box of ice cream.

"Who angers you?" Stephen asked while handing the plastic bag that contains the box of double-flavored ice cream to her.

"What's this--- oh! Wow!" Sofia examined the product inside the bag and in an instant, a grin appeared on her lips - very unlikely reaction but she did not seemed to be conscious on it. It was as if she had received the most precious thing she could ever think of right now. Her eyes sparkled and she happily went to the dining area.

Stephen silently observed her from behind and secretly thought. 'Ice cream is really an effective dessert to lighten a mood!'

It was actually the only reason why he went out. After he had realized that Sofia's mood was off, Stephen decided to buy her an ice cream. It was a wild guess but he sensed that it would be effective to coax her to return to her usual self.

"Why did you buy an ice cream, Steph?" Sofia asked and took two glasses and scooped the ice cream from the box to put on it. Her movements were fast, showing a full of eagerness to taste the sweetness from the box.

"I just felt like buying," Stephen replied but at the back of his head, he was silently singing his thanks to all his angels who activated his intuition.

"Is it a bother if you go back to the convenience store?" Sofia suddenly inquired while handing one of the glasses to Stephen. The ice cream had slightly distracted her about her situation but she really needed for someone to grab something for her. There was a bit of reluctance in her tone but it certainly had returned to normal.

"Not at all. What do you want to eat?" Stephen asked thinking that Sofia may want to eat something other than the ice cream.

"It's not food. I need a sanitar---" Sofia abruptly paused. Damn, they were eating. Her 24-year-old and sophisticated soul had just realized how improper the subject that she was about to say was. "---ehem! I'll ask you after you finish your ice cream," Sofia mumbled.

"Okay," Stephen said and went to his mini desk to take his phone. "You called me?" he asked after seeing the missed call notification.

"Yeah, I did not know you left your phone," Sofia shrugged.

"I did not plan to go out for long. So, I just left my phone," Stephen responded.

Just then, it was time for Sofia's phone to vibrate. As she grabbed it, she saw Claire calling her. 'Ahh... the match must have been finished. This is good! I would not bother Stephen from buying any more!'

"Sof, haha... do you need something?" Claire's vibrant voice came in her ears the moment she answered the call.

"Yes... I'll send you a message, Claire," Sofia quickly said. She then composed a text and told Claire about her problem.

"Is it Claire?" Stephen asked while looking at Sofia typing something on her phone.

"Yes, they have finished their first match," Sofia replied.

"Ohh... Uhm, what do you want me to buy in the convenient store? I'll go now," Stephen quipped his phone. He had finished the ice cream in his glass and placed them on the sink.

"I've changed my mind. Hehe... No need to go back to the convenience store. Just join at their second game and play to harness our teamwork and group coordination," Sofia cheekily replied.

"Ohh--kay. Then, I'll go to Claire's place now. You continue to rest here and come with us later," Stephen stated and did not speak anymore.

On his way, he also saw Claire in the corridor and was going to the direction of Sofia's unit.

"You've checked Sofia, Steph?" Claire asked.

"Yep! She is fine. She will just sleep," Stephen easily told Claire.

"Oh, good... I just remembered that I left something in Sofia's room. I will retrieve it. Give me back the key," Claire responded.

Stephen easily returned the object that Claire had lent to him. Before the two went in their separate direction, he suddenly realized something odd.

Claire was holding an article of unfamiliar black clothing. He stopped and stared on it with his brows furrowed. He felt odd. But in reality, it was just actually use to cover of the object that Sofia had asked from Claire.

"Stephen, did you notice something strange to Sofia?" Claire suddenly asked while playing the key on her palm.

Strange? There were indeed a lot of strange occurrences that he managed to discover. But Stephen only shook his head.

"Nothing is strange." 'But that black cloth is,' he mentally added.

"Okay, that's good. But, if she acts like she is very irrational, just let her be. Today is not a good day to argue with her," Claire started. After knowing Sofia's situation, she could only sympathize with the next person.

"I won't argue with her," Stephen easily replied. And then two proceed to walk in an opposite direction.
