Chapter 125 - War Of Keyboard Warriors?

Name:Ceo Unrivaled Author:inflict
Sofia took her time to stare at the image of an animated dog on her screen before typing a caption. Her right eyebrow arched into a perfect angle. She could not think of anything at that time that she ended up placing a 'woof'.

"Hehe," her shoulder slightly quivered as she stifled a laugh and finally published the post. Then, she stood up, hooked her phone on the charger, and proceeded to do her morning routine.

A fan promptly noticed her post and from a single share, it multiplied quickly.

Sofia was not thinking too much when it comes to memes. In the past, she had a rather serious life. Hence, she could only rely on the memories of the original Sofia when it comes to trash-talking.

But somehow, it had gotten into her behavior too. For some reason, she was even having fun.

Unbeknownst to Sofia, the caption of the meme that she had posted was actually popular. And the caption 'woof' was also associated with an expression from an anime character that had several fans.

With the magic that social media could do, the people following the anime started also sharing her particular post. Some people also associated her as a fan of the anime character.

Now, they were all waiting for the Krista19 user to make her own response on it.

On the other part of the district, the female they had been anticipating stirred from her slumber and subconsciously find her phone. A habit she had grown after being too drawn on social media.

Her hand patted the pillows for a few seconds before she finally grabbed the device.

With her sleepy eyes, she unlocked the screen and squinted as the light flashed on her face.

"Hmmm," she happily hummed while looking at the huge number of comments added in her notification. Her chat box was also bursting with so many random messages from strangers.

She lazily typed another post and tagged Sofia as well as the official page of the Chronos Squad on it.

Krista19 published a post: CEO UNRIVALED do you dare fight me today? Let's see if you really have that skills!

A few seconds later her post gained a lot of reactions. Like ants that have smelled the scent of the sugar, the netizens instantly jammed on the comment section of this post.

It must have been a good breakfast for the netizens looking for quality gossip to see the topic of last night had continued.

"Ahh, today is a good day!" the female exclaimed happily, unaware of the forthcoming consequences of her actions.

She continued to scroll on her feeds when her supporter started to mention her name to Sofia's post.

"Woof? What does this mean?" she frowned as she followed the link of the mentioned post.

She did not understand the context of Sofia's post, hence, her thumb instantly clicked the comments.

Diana_Tank: Oh yeahh... CEO UNRIVALED is being chased by some random streamer dog lol. Tanks never run from any fight, beware dog!

ForeverGamer: This streamer looked like a dog lol.

TankPro: Just a dog asking for a bone. Oops! I mean a streamer asking to match with a pro just to gain fame! arf! arf!

By reading a few of the comments, the female finally got the gist of the post. The bright expression of the female's face turned dark.

Then, she hastily replied to the comment to defend herself...

Krista19 replied: I am too beautiful to be compared to a dog!

It was a poor defense that she deliberately made. She wanted to boost her fame and gaining reactions from the audience, even if it was fueled by hate would still be a view for her.

Soon after, netizens started to sent their criticisms. Some even edited her public photos and compared them to a dog!

Meanwhile, the members of the Chronos squad were still oblivious of the war that was happening. They were still asleep peacefully under their blankets...

By the time Claire woke up and realized what was happening, she anxiously ran towards Sofia's unit without checking the other posts.

In the past, she knew that her friend did not pay attention to social media. Thus, she was worried that Sofia was not aware...

"Sof! Sof, Omg! The gaming community becomes crazy! Have you opened your account?" Claire barged into her unit with a frantic tone.

At that time, Sofia had already dressed in cheap jeans and an oversized blue T-shirt. She was sitting in front of her mirror and was examining her jawline.

"I've seen it earlier, Claire! It was pure chaos because of Krista19. Whoever that woman is, her guts is surely commendable!" she responded without glancing at her friend. She looked at her closely and counted the remaining pimples that invaded her skin.

"Yes! That Krista19 is a streamer, Sof... you may not know her but she is quite popular. And she is very shrewd," Claire mumbled and also grabbed a chair.

"Shrewd? Don't worry about it. We should not focus too much on this kind of people. It's not worth it," Sofia muttered.

She had seen through the woman's scheme before she went to sleep last night. Yet, there was not even a small disturbance in her expression when Claire warned her.

This nonchalant behavior made Claire paused and just stared at what she was doing.

"You are right! But, do you plan on fighting her on a match? I heard that she used some game cheats in the past," Claire stated.

Certain map hacks at that time were already popular in the game. Some streamers had used it just to prove to their stream viewers that they have the real skills to be undefeated. But, in the end, their accounts were banned permanently in the game.

"No, I'm busy! Hehe, unless I can profit from fighting her in one on one," Sofia answered.

"Are you counting your pimples?" Claire asked when she realized that Sofia was staring for too long on her jawline.

"Yep! I have a mission to evict this civilization... one by one. I'm just counting them to see the actual numbers of eviction, " she casually responded with a playful tone.

"Ohh, okay! Haha, good luck! By the way, where are you going? You're surprisingly dressed this early!" Claire inquired finally taking notice of Sofia's outfit.

"I'll go and stroll around the district today," Sofia casually replied.
