Chapter 53 - A Fragment Of Memory

The two silver cars arrived simultaneously in front of the ROSEN CLUB establishment.

Three receptionists quickly went out to greet their guests.

"Young master, welcome! Honored guests, welcome!"

Clark nodded but waved his hand and stopped the three employees from giving their group a customary bow.

"There is no need to be so formal. I am here to have a casual lunch with my friends." he spoke and looked at Sofia.

"You have picked a good place, Clark. This restaurant is nice," Sofia complimented him for his choice of place.

"Yeah, it's so high-end. Can we afford this place?!" Joey shyly interjected.

"No worries, the place is owned by my uncle. This is his personal business that is centered with our family and relatives. Even if we insist on paying, he won't charge us a single dime," Clark chuckled.

Upon hearing Clark's remark, Sofia looked slightly shocked while staring at the big letters sculpted above the entrance door of the building.

"This is your uncle's restaurant, Clark?" She knew the social status of Clark. The boy came from a well-respected family. There was no question of his wealth.

What surprised her was the name of the business. Somehow, fragments of her memories flashed in her mind, and remembered the establishment.

"Yes, the restaurant is founded by my uncle last year. It's still new but the customers kept coming back. And the family also supports him. No biases, the service here is really commendable. My uncle trained all the staff to be respectful," Clark replied.

"That's really nice! One of the keys to success in this kind of business is pleasant service." Sofia smiled and started to walk ahead of them. The rest of the group followed closely while another receptionist guided them to their room.

As they strode into the silent dining accommodation, Sofia could not help but admire the design of the establishment.

It may just be a coincidence that Clark was connected to the owner of the business, but Sofia's mind was already thinking of plans. With their status, they cannot own a business yet, but, they can invest!

'The ROSEN CLUB, if I remember correctly... in my past life this restaurant will become very successful! This would be one of the few restaurants that would get 3 stars and the highest luxury in the traditional style 'Fork and Spoon' Michelin rating. In few more years, the name will also change to The GRAND ROSEN.' Sofia pondered while recollecting the fragments of her memory.

"This place is so grand," Joey slightly nudged Clark on the side.

"Hehehe, Sofia said that we need to give due respect to the FAB_Gamers squad. So, I picked this place," Clark shyly replied as he scratched the back of his neck.

There was no arrogance in his tone which was far from the other rich kids that Joey knew. Even Sofia also noticed how well-mannered Clark was despite his wealthy status.

"It is like you are about to propose to your idols! Haha," Claire giggled playfully as she also observed the elite customers in the place.

"Stop teasing me, or I will propose to you," Clark half-heartedly joked as he rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Young master, we are here. Boss had especially reserved this room for you and your companions," the receptionist knocked on the door which hinted to the group that there was already someone inside it.

As they entered the room, the three FAB_Gamers squad players were already waiting. Their orders were already served on the table but it was still untouched.

"Oh, great! You have arrived us first!" Joey beamed and took the chair opposite to where WINS was seated.

"Yes, we already place all our orders. I hope you don't mind," WINS smiled and gestured the food on the table.

"Ahh, that's so thoughtful. Thanks! We don't mind at all," Sofia replied while looking at the plates and dishes.

"You guys don't have any allergy or what? You may also change the food," WINS added. He was used in organizing meetings of his squad members that it had become a habit of him to ensure food arrangement. Although he was a guest, WINS was not comfortable with being served. Since the Chronos squad had chosen the venue, he took the initiative to order the food for all of them.

"Nah, these dishes are all great! Thank you for ordering on behalf of us," Sofia clasped her hand and tried to drag the chair near her. But Stephen was quick to pull it for her instead.

"Thanks, Steph," Sofia glanced at the man before she took a seat.

"You're welcome, Sof," Stephen casually murmured and sat beside her.

"Well, you have a match later. We can't afford to waste your time guys. Hahaha, I'm sure your strategies are ready to defeat your next opponents," WINS stated as the group started to place a portion of food on their plates.

"AHH, yes, we had a practiced match with your squad. My team is more than ready," Sofia slightly grinned.

Beside her, Stephen was putting a soup in her bowl. On the other side of the table, Clark and Claire were just eating silently.

"Please eat more, my squad will become shy if you don't get many foods. We haven't really had our breakfast," WINS encouraged the group after noticing their smaller take of the served dishes.

"AHAHA, don't mind us. Please satisfy your stomach, seniors," Clark laughed and pushed the big bowl of meat towards WINS.

The air around them had maintained a neutral ambiance as they talked about the most random things that gamers could discuss. From the updated gadgets and specs to the in-game characters and items up to the cooldowns of various skills. They also discussed other gaming strategies and the sponsors of the event.

Not long after, the group completed their lunch with a harmonious atmosphere.

"I was planning to invite you guys for dinner. The lunch seemed too little time to bond," WINS admitted after they exited on the establishments.

"AHH, we may have other things to do tonight," Sofia answered. But at the back of her head, she had been thinking of getting a long sleep so that her pimples would not be severe.

"I see, then, good luck with your match! I am ready to place my bet in your squad! Hahaha, It was a nice lunch, I hope we could meet up again if our group is free. My squad loves karaoke," WINS nodded in understanding and playfully told the group about the ongoing betting.

"Thank you, if we have vacant schedule, we can always meet again. See you around guys!" Sofia and the Chronos squad waved their hands and watched as the three men went off.

"They were nice," Claire commented.

"Yes, they are. Even though WINS is famous, he is actually modest and easy to talk with," Joey added.

"That's why I am their fans. Their squad is the best!" Clark clapped his hands while staring at the silhouette of the silver car that had just drive away.

"Okay, time to go back. We have 15 minutes before our match will start," Stephen glanced at his watched and announced their free time.

"15 minutes is enough. Let's go," Sofia stated as she entered the other vehicle. Her other companions glanced at the restaurant for the last time before they also followed Sofia's lead.
