Chapter 308 - The Chronos Squad's Endorsement Of Shoe Brand (8)

Cathy and Chel were ultimately stunned by what Sofia had just proposed to them. Become the stylist of their group! They had never expected Sofia to give them a direct offer.

"What do you think?" Sofia asked them after they remained silent. She was not really in a hurry to hire a stylist for their squad. The Chronos squad is still in their gaming career and had just started their business. As for the entertainment industry, it was not certain yet if they want to walk this path in the long run. Because they are still beginners, they don't necessarily need other people to style for them.

However, since she had met these two females, she felt that it was only right to have them join her. Having a competent stylist would make them look more presentable in public and also would lessen their time to prepare proper outfits during occasions.

Chel and Cathy stared at each other for a long time. Neither of them blinked their eyes. In fact, they were thinking the same question. But, they had no guts to speak it out.

"Since you have managed to guess our sizes correctly, I think, the two of you can work with us," Sofia continued.

"Ahmm, Miss Sofia, t-this offer, thank you but I think I'll just stick with my job. I'm happy working here," Chel spoke awkwardly. In her mind, such an invitation to work for the group was something not reliable. How could these teens who can't even pay their entrance fee give them a reasonable salary?

"That's also good. Keeping our happiness makes everything worth it," Sofia replied in her usual tone. The direct refusal was something that she did not expect. But, she was not also desperate to employ them too.

"Frankly speaking, you should focus on your endorsement first, Miss Sofia. You are still young, anyway. There are many talents in our studio who had been doing their best every day for the past half year and still have no stylist," Cathy also said and forced a smile on her lips.

"You mean, you think that it is ambitious for me to get a stylist at this stage of our career?" Sofia calmly questioned. She pulled a purple hoodie from the rack of clothes and wore it casually in front of them.

Cathy was about to respond, however, Claire already emerged from the fitting room.

"Sof, what do you think of this outfit?" Claire inquired. She had made a finishing touch of putting a yellow fashion cap in her head.

"Looks good, Claire!" Sofia replied and walked away from the two staff. Even if Cathy would not respond to her, she somehow sensed the reason for their hesitation.

Clark had chosen the same color as Claire. Stephen coincidentally wore a hoodie too. Only Joey choose a sporty jacket and a varsity-style fashion sense.

"The shoe design is really cool!" Clark exclaimed and examined the edges of the sneaker that he was wearing.

"It really feels comfortable to wear too. As expected with this company!"  Claire complimented too. She made a few twirls around before they walked out of the dressing room and went to their shooting set.

The door of the next room was not closed and they have seen Emerson adjusting the lighting. It was just a typical studio room that almost had a black and white ambiance.

On the side, there were chairs, skateboards, baseball bats, and other sports equipment.

Emerson looked at them and gestured for them to get inside. "Let's start!"

They immediately stood in front of the camera and Emerson started to instruct them.

"Sofia, get a skateboard and stand on it. Use pose A!"

Hearing the man's word, Sofia picked the skateboard. But, she was hesitant to stand. "I don't know how to skate," she stated.

"It's okay, that is a prop. It won't move when you stand on it," Emerson quickly asserted.

Sofia followed and realized that the skateboard was indeed more stable than the real one.

"Nice! Sofia, face the camera, maintain that formal expression on your face, please. Claire, use the chair and stand next to Sofia. Put your right leg in the chair and your left leg on the floor. Pose letter X. Smile on the camera, dear! Nice!"

Sofia and Claire posed at the center with their backs facing each other.

"Great, you have chosen a good outfit. It's more dramatic! Stephen, stand next to Sofia and Clark, to the side of Claire. Stephen, pose letter S. Clark, pose letter M.... Good!" Emerson continued.

"Joey, pick the baseball bat and put it on the back of your neck. Hung both your hands and pose letter H. Smirk a little bit... like a smug look."

"I'm taking pictures from different angles. Maintain your position."

The flash of the camera and the clicking sound followed. For the next hours, only Emerson's voice could be heard on the set while giving the teens instructions.

The shouts of the corresponding letters and the props that they should use followed to echo in the corners of the room. And after taking hundreds of pictures from the Chronos squad, Emerson finally called for a break time.

"Awesome! I can't believe you are a beginner! The expressions are on point! All these pictures are brilliant!" Emerson told them with a cheeky grin on his lips. There was a great satisfaction written all over his face. "Let's take a break for 10 minutes and then, we will try to record a video. Okay?"

Sofia could only nod her head. She felt as if her body had just performed the hardest physical education exercise and now felt numb.

"Being a model is not actually just about smiling in front of the camera. It's actually tiring!" Sofia chuckled at her realization. She stretched her legs and arms and tried to ease the numbness.

"Miss Sofia, you've done great! You'll get used to it after a few more shooting," Emerson spoke gently.

"Thank you for the patience that you have exerted in this project, Emerson!" Sofia told him. She just recognized that it was not also easy to be a photographer. The pamphlets that he showed them as well as the dedication to give them instructions of how to pose, he exerted more than the effort that her group performed.

"You're welcome, Sofia! Now, go there and try to relax.. The next round of shooting will need more energy," Emerson replied and focused his attention on the pictures that he had taken.
