Chapter 266 - Squad Endorsement Offer (1)

Just then, Sofia's phone vibrated in her pocket. She quickly took it out and looked at the screen, there was an incoming call from boss Wang.

Without any hesitation, her thumb slides on the accept button to answer the call. She moved her device near her right ear and calmly spoke, "Mr. Wang, it's me. Is there a problem with the second announcement?"

Her question was direct. Since the man had called her earlier, she assumed that he might have a different complaint this time. Somehow, the thought of boss Wang fussing over a simple matter gives her a headache.

Jing Jing give a glance at her but Sofia was already looking at the other side. She was staring at the people walking on the road while listening to the other line.

"No, the announcement was a success! Hehehe. Thanks to you, Miss Sofia!" boss Wang started. 

"That's good!" Sofia briefly said. Hearing the man's tone, Sofia could tell that he was really overjoyed. But, she could not help but wonder what is the reason for his call?

"Ahh... Miss Sofia, look at your jinx employee. She actually dared to leave her phone. I was calling her several times but a different person answered my call. I have no choice but to call you!" Boss Wang still complained. But this time, Jing Jing was his target.

Sofia looked at Jing Jing and slightly chuckled, "Mr. Wang, it was me who asked sister Jing to leave her phone.  May I ask the urgency of your call?"

Jing Jing's phone was left in the hands of Heiz. In Sofia's mind, boss Wang had already felt a deep enmity of Jing Jing. Even if she demanded for him to treat Jing Jing right, she did not expect the man would actually contact Jing Jing.

"O-oh... well, it's indeed urgent. I am calling you to confirm about an endorsement. Are you interested?" Boss Wang answered.

"Hmm. Please tell me more about the endorsement, Mr. Wang. I want to know the details of the endorsement before I will confirm," Sofia firmly spoke.

"Of course! After being your exclusive press, I have already understood how you do things! I will tell you the details," Boss Wang paused for a few seconds. Sofia did not speak anything too and just waiting for him to spill the information...

"There is a shoe brand here that is looking for teenage models for their teen creations. Because of the wedding publicity, most of the companies also offered me to do promotions and endorsements. I have really benefited from your arrangement, Miss Sofia. And I think that your group should be perfect for this brand. The photo shoot is tomorrow," Boss Wang stated with ease.

"A shoe brand is indeed good to endorse. However, we may not be able to make it tomorrow. What time is the shooting, Mr. Wang?" Sofia asked.

"The time?! Wait, I will ask Rica for the exact time. Hang on," Boss Wang said and there were incoherent noises followed on their line. After a while, boss Wang resumed, "Hello, Miss Sofia, the schedule is not yet fixed. If you want, we can suggest a schedule to do the shooting!"

"Really? With this flexible schedule, perhaps, we can make it. Mr. Wang, how much is the pay to endorse the brand? I hope to get monetary earnings from it," Sofia asked. She had to emphasize that she needed cash as there would be a possibility that the brand would exchange their products as payments. In her situation right now, earning cash is preferable.

"HAHAHA... Ms. Sofia, you don't really shy on your demands!" Boss Wang exclaimed. "I have handled many endorsements but it is my first time to encounter someone who would directly request for cash payment!"

"Hehehe... Don't misunderstand me, Mr. Wang. Getting products from the brand is also great. I do not look down on brand deals. But I really need cash as of this time. There is something that I need to pay," Sofia chuckled. In reality, she was thinking of the salary of the people that she had employed. The Chronos company has almost 50 employees including her squad members. The manpower is really high and they haven't even started their business! If she had no cash to invest more in her company, she would struggle to keep her employees.

"You are really straight to the point when it comes to earning money. If you need money, then, we shall tell them what you want. I will talk to their representative first. I'll talk to you later," Boss Wang stated and their line was abruptly disconnected.

In the office of Boss Wang, there were two women who were listening to their entire conversation. The women looked almost the same age as Jing Jing. They sat across the table with their arms folded on their chests. The man had actually placed Sofia on a loudspeaker as he spoke with her! He did not need to tell them. They were listening!

After disconnecting the call, boss Wang looked at the two women. "You have heard it. This teen is trending on social media and all her squad members are famous too. Even if they are not a celebrity, I can guarantee you a good increase in sales. This is why I recommend them to you!"

One of the women sighed and replied, "This girl is asking for cash. Then, we can edit the contract draft and give her the cash."

"Great! I will tell her that!" Boss Wang excitedly stood from his seat and dialed Sofia's contact number again. One of the women quickly opened her laptop and edited the payment clauses of the contract.

After the call was answered, he quickly informed Sofia. "No problem with the cash! Miss Sofia, the representative of this shoe company will pay cash!"

Boss Wang's voice had become in a high pitch out of excitement. With his volume, Sofia creased her eyebrows. After she placed her phone near her ear for the second time, she had winced at his voice and moved the phone a few inches away from her face.

"Mr. Wang, I have one more thing that I need to verify. May I ask the target sales of this endorsement?" Sofia questioned.

The women who heard her question could not help but ask in their thoughts, 'Target sales? Is this girl an aspiring model or an advertising manager?' They wanted to ask boss Wang and clarify about who the man was talking with. But, after much thought, they just swallowed their curiosity.

"Ms. Sofia, about the target sales, you can see it for yourself! I will send you the draft contract for this endorsement project for you to check. The payment details are already in the file too. Call me back after you examined it. Okay?" Boss Wang replied.

"Okay, thank you! Mr. Wang, I will call you back after five minutes," Sofia stated and quickly ended the call.

"Boss Wang called?" Jing Jing asked while Sofia was opening her email to check the file.

"There is an endorsement offer from a shoe brand that he wanted to give to us," Sofia smiled.

"Wow! That's cool!" Jing Jing excitedly said.

"But the photo shoot is already tomorrow. And we already scheduled our soft opening in our business tomorrow. And the organizers of the wedding would make necessary arrangements and decorations in our place. I have to check first if the money is worth it to spend extra time for this," Sofia said.

"Mostly, the companies are looking for fresh faces because they have low labor costs compared to the famous people," Jing Jing commented.

"If those companies are on a budget, they had no choice but to compromise. Still, if they choose fresh faces, they have to make sure that it is sellable. The question is, will their customers be even interested in buying a product that is endorsed by a not famous model? Sometimes, holding back their money has its own backlash, " Sofia softly responded.

"When you say it like that, it does make sense. The marketing field is such a hard task to do," Jing Jing pouted.

"Indeed. Mostly, marketing projects have their targets. For example, if they use models to promote their brands, they also have to set a goal of sales increase for the next succeeding months. I have to see their target. If it's reasonable, I will accept this," Sofia stated. "Your ex boss, Mr. Wang is actually a thoughtful partner. Normally, contracts like this are not passed to the models. It will be directly handled by the manager. But, he took the initiative to let me see the contract."

"His company won't be the leading press business in the district if he does not know how to deal with things. He is indeed thoughtful," Jing Jing praised.

Sofia nodded her head and downloaded the file of the contract. Jing Jing focused on driving after realizing that Sofia had also concentrated on reading the document on her phone.

After several minutes, Sofia smiled. "It's actually worth it. Their target goal is also doable considering that we have fans in our social media accounts.. As long as they will agree to do the photo shoot after lunchtime, I will take this project."
