Chapter 2 - Fate plans

The row of swords, spears, shields and other weapons like saber, trident of different length was laid on ground. The leather armour covered my body. I asked ''Where am I and What are YOU??''.

"You are in waiting zone of Ancient Battlefield and due to low authorization, I cannot tell you what am I ''

The voice was melodious and was of a woman. I took a 2 meter long sword and a round light weighted shield. I saw two bows on row of weapons. I picked both---one was larger and heavier than other bow so I put it back. I also picked 20 light and heavy arrows each and put them in quiver which I attached at my armour back side. The quiver became heavier but it surprised me that it did not tear due to arrows weight.

After I picked my weapons, my body become heavier and all the weapons disappeared. A black door emerged in front of me. The voice said, ''You earn one gold coin for killing a Fodder, 15 gold coins for killing Trainee, 30 gold coins for killing Elite, 60 gold coins for killing Expert and 250 gold coins for killing General and gain the right to pick the item dropped by General on his death, and one life for killing 20 minions. You may exit the room through balk door and enter Ancient Battlefield''

I tried asking some more questions but like, "Why am I here??"

The voice ignored me and a timer of two minutes appeared above my head.

" Leave the waiting area before the counter hit zero. If you did not leave, then all your weapons will be taken away and your armour will be stripped off."

After hearing all this, I quickly ran to the door and exited the waiting area. I found a whole different world on this side of the door. I was surrounded by other people who looked bemused like me. I also saw a man with a different armour than the others of approximately 9 feet in height. So, apparently, he was a giant. His entire body, from head to toe, was covered with black and red armour. I was in the castle which was surrounded by a 35 meter long and a 40 meter high wall from the front side. The Castle was rectangular in shape and situated between two mountains. There was shops and other buildings in the Castle. I was in a medieval era, or it looked like. The two buildings were made up of stones and had different colours, displaying their outright uniqueness. The buildings had different signs but all of them were two storey building.

The building, made of wood, was bigger than the walls by five meters and it looked like it was a watch tower. There was a staircase that aided the people inside castle in climbing wall. There was a 20 meter long sturdy steel gate with a golden dragon pattern on the wall which linked the Castle to the rest of world. In pattern, the golden dragon was facing the sky and roaring. It was carved exquisitely as every scale can be observed and it looked extremely lifelike. It invoked fear in me and I felt the dragon was standing in front of me and it could kill me with his breath. I felt adrenaline and blood pumping faster in my veins. The heartbeat is increasing and my eyes are becoming bloodshot. But it is only my imagination.
