Chapter 275 - Dead? (2)

Ch-274

But why did she die? That was the question that rang in her mind. Esther's eyes welled with tears; her mother was lying in the pool of blood. Soon… everyone gathered around her. They were trying to wake her up. Henry got down and saw his mother lying in the pool of blood.

"What happened? Didn't she come to invite you to lunch?" Charles Benjamin, her father asked as he looked bewildered at his fallen wife.

"I and Cyrus are talking here, then we heard her scream and fall," Esther said as she sat beside her mother's lifeless body.

"What are you talking to him about?" Charles Windsor Benjamin asked as he entered the scene with his cane in his hand.

"We are talking about our plans for our unborn children," Esther said.

"And?" he asked.

"Grandfather… What do you mean?" Esther asked.

Charles Windsor, who saw Lia's body stated he understood something. He just wanted to confirm his thoughts.

"Say word by word," he said sternly.

"Shut up! I don't want to get pregnant for the next two years! It's not that I don't want to carry your child! If not, why would I marry you!? Hmph! I have to build up my brand in these two years. And what if Reggie feels left out and feels sad. We need to consider his feelings! Why are you acting like a dumbo! Aren't you a great Bha…?"  Esther bit her tongue and stopped her words.

"I said these words, Grandfather," she said to him.

Henry felt annoyed when he saw no one was rushing to take his mother to the hospital. He rushed forward and took her into his arms.

"Where are you carrying her?" Charles Windsor asked Henry, making him stop in his tracks.

"To the hospital," he replied in a cold tone.

"Carry her to the funeral grounds. She is dead," he said as he gave a sharp glare to Esther.

"Grandfather, what do you mean?" Henry said in a shocked voice.

"She is dead! Don't build any fake hope for my son! Now go!" he said as he looked at Henry.

"Dad… are you serious?" Charles asked in a shaky voice.

"I am! She is dead! Now! GO. DO. THE. REMAINING. THINGS. TO. CARRY. ON. WITH. THE. FUNERAL. RITUALS!" he said in a chilly voice.

Charles Benjamin fainted in shock when he heard his father's words. His… His wife… she left him alone in this world. He couldn't take it! He fainted in shock.

"Grandfather… Why are you so harsh?" Henry asked.

"I am stuffing the damn truth into his brain! Where am I acting harsh?!" Charles yelled, losing his composure.

"She is fine till now, then why?" Henry asked.

Charles Windsor looked at Esther deeply. "Princess… Come with me!" he said. The hidden ferociousness in his eyes surprised everyone.

"Cyrus… take care of dad and Reggie," Esther said to Cyrus.

"Brother… proceed with the procedures," Esther said to Henry, turning towards him.

Esther knew something was wrong, so... she said nothing and followed him to his study.

"Grandfather…" she trailed.

"My queen, Didn't I inform you about your parents' cursed birth!? Then why the hell did you bring it up!?" Charles asked as he tried his best not to shout at her. She is going to be a future queen… how could she behave like this! She wasn't a kid!

Esther's eyes widened in realization. Her mother was a cursed one, a word of their past life may trigger her memories and would lead to her death. And when she came to call them for breakfast, she might have heard their conversation sneakily as it involved her future grandchild. And she heard it all, she heard everything. When she heard the real name of Cyrus, her last life might have come into her memories and led to her death. So… it's all due to the curse. And she led her mother to her death.

Her heart broke into pieces, she was hopeless. How could she be so careless? How can she be so thoughtless and drive her mother to her death? Tears flowed out of her eyes as she realized her mistake.

"Esther, you are not Esther Benjamin. But Aadhira Kshatra, who was Raudramuki's previous reincarnation. If you act like this, how could you become a good queen?" Charles Windsor asked through his gritted teeth.

"Ahhh!!!" a sound could be heard from their door, which was followed by a thud sound. They both turned their heads and saw Charles Benjamin, lying on the ground.

They both went near him and saw his condition was just like Lia's. His eyes dilated, pupils shrunk, his hand clutched the left side of his chest, his mouth wide open. Just like Lia, all his nine holes started bleeding.

Charles Windsor felt headaches coming on his way at the back-to-back deaths in his house. What's the reason for the back-to-back deaths in the house in a single day?

"Grandfather…. Why today?" Esther asked in confusion.

"I don't know," he said. He was just as confused as her.

"He heard everything in our conversation," Esther mumbled under her breath.

"yes," he said as he confirmed her words. He wondered whether he was confirming her words or his. But he knew he heard it. Maybe he was confirming the fact of their deaths.

Even though he lived lots of years, still Charles was his son in the human realm. He still loved him with his heart. Even though he was a human with feelings. How could he not feel sad at his death? And the guilt of him dying because of his words… was killing him.

What the hell was happening!?

Suddenly…. The ground under their feet started shaking while they stood. The things started falling, and they got scattered here and there as the room turned messy, making it hard for one to move a single step.

Again… There was a hollow formed on the wall in the room. It grew bigger from a pinhole size to a human size making them open their mouths in shock.
