Chapter 223 - What's Wrong Being Short!?!

Ch-222

Cyrus heaved a sigh of relief after he was done talking with his father-in-law. He gulped a glass of water in a single gulp. He took a big breath and calmed down. Just when he felt relieved, he heard Reggie's laughter. He didn't notice the time, it's already evening. The sun was setting down the orange hues released by the sun, filling the sky giving peaceful vibes to the viewers. The birds were flying back to their nests in a group as they made different shapes while they flew. Cyrus wondered why they form a formation when they fly?

Cyrus walked out as he felt spaced out. Unknowingly he walked into the garden and sat on the bench. He noticed that there was a stone bench at the side. That spot where he sat covered the complete sight of the garden. He felt peaceful and happy. He wanted someone to make him sleep in their sleep and caress his hair.  But he knew no one could do that to him. Cyrus missed his sister. His sister was like a mother to him.

"Sodhari..... [Sister....]" he called out softly as he closed his eyes.

"I am married, sister. With the one whom I love," he whispered to himself.

Cyrus wanted to say this big thing first to his sister. But he couldn't say that to her at least for now. He was happy that he married the one whom he loved. But again he couldn't say that to his sister. His mother.... always tried to control him. But never gave the motherly love he wanted from her. He has to say his mother was partly a reason for Raudra Muki's death at that time. If only she agreed to his marriage and didn't ruin his marriage at that time. Maybe he would be handing the kingdom to his sons by now and he would be enjoying the time with his wife. But... things changed practically. One can't change the things that happened already. His mind was filled with many thoughts. He didn't notice the orange hues in the sky had disappeared. Now the sky is painted with black paint and is adorned with pearl-like stars making it look like a beautiful moment.

He sighed softly and looked at the sky. He held the tear-shaped bead on his neck and pressed it. "Finally, I married you," he said. "I didn't miss you like in the last life," he whispered again.

Cyrus didn't notice that there was a figure in a white saree with gold ornaments on her body standing behind him. That figure was none other than Raudra Muki's other part of the soul. Raudra Muki smiled seeing Cyrus was happy with marrying her. It's just that it would take time for her to merge with Esther's body. Till then she has to wait to become one with Esther. Sensing a few steps coming forward the soul disappeared into the thin air.

Cyrus didn't notice the steps, Henry, as he was deeply involved within his thoughts.

"This garden must be made by Esther," Cyrus muttered under his breath.

Henry was observing Cyrus from the moment he entered the garden. He wondered what makes him feel good in this girl's garden. But when he heard Cyrus's words he realized that indeed every inch of this garden makes him remember the memories of Esther. He remembered when Esther was trying to plant a tree he stomped on it. But never thought Esther would cry like there was no tomorrow. So, he went to a nursery and brought the same plant to her to plant. There was another time, where he and she planted the trees together and watered them. They played with the plants and they used to squeal in joy when the plants they planted flowered or gave some fruits. But now.... he almost missed the memories of Esther. He smiled softly.

"Esther and I made this garden," Henry said as he looked around. He walked forward and stood beside Cyrus. Cyrus was surprised to hear Henry talk to him. But seeing this opening he smiled. That's when he heard his wife calling her brother but not him.

"Brother! Brother! Brother!" Esther's loud voice could be heard in the silent garden.

"What happened, Little Twerp?" Henry said as he turned around with a smile while tucking his hands in his pockets.

"Bro! I am tall, okay!?" Esther shouted at him.

Okay! She was shorter than him! But that doesn't mean he can poke her wound repeatedly. Hmph!

"Really? Say that standing beside me. Or say that standing beside your husband," he said as he wriggled his brows.

Henry is 6'4 feet tall. While Cyrus was 6'7 feet tall. And Esther was 5'6 feet tall. When she stood beside them she felt like she was a kid.

Esther looked at both of them and humped loudly. "I will design two feet tall heels and wear them! After that let's see if you guys can show off to me! Hmph!" she humped loudly.

Arey! What's wrong with being short! This was god-given height! What she could do for that! These two people are meanies. Tall meanies!

"You both are tall meanies! Hmph! Dinner is served! Come! I will complain to dadda and grandpa that you both are making fun of my height!" Esther said as she stuck her tongue out. With that, she left as she huffed and puffed.

"Can you believe she is married? She is still childish," Henry said without looking at Cyrus.

"I never saw her act like this. Maybe she acts like this only in front of you," Cyrus said as he gazed at Esther's disappearing back.

"Really?" Henry asked, surprised.

"Yes! She always acts like an angry bird who is ready to kill me whenever she sees me. But with you, she acts spoiled. I hope she acts like that with me too," He said.

"Hope so. Let's go inside," Henry said.

Both big men went inside the house. The dinner went smoothly. The air was not as awkward as in the lunch.. It's quite harmonious.
