Chapter 19 - 19: November 1st-14th, 2099

Another week passed as my Spore Carriers continued to gather junk and scrap metal from the sewers for material for the two gates, I have also had them start chopping down the dead trees that littered the mountain for material for the gates as well.

I have made sure that all of the materials I have gotten were metallic or elastic in nature so that the two gates that would be built would be made of durable material that could last for a while and handle some damage.

And the sewers were just filled to the brim with such kinds of materials, there were also more than a dozen different Scrap Yards, but it's hard to scavenge from them since scavengers can be found there day and night, so I can't really gather scrap from there, so I have to resort to gathering scrap from the sewers, plus most of the good scrap has probably already been looted from the scrap yards by the scavengers.

I have also infected 4 more men with Spores after they attempted to attack Claire via an ambush as she was returning home.

After a few hours passed they were completely transformed into Spore Carrier Hybrids with completely new identities.

Just like last time, I blessed them with several different abilities before remembering that I haven't blessed Claire with anything yet.

"Claire," I spoke out.

"Yes?" Claire asked as she was sitting on her bed reading a simple comic she bought with some of the caps she earned.

"I am about to give you my blessings, do not panic," I told her before the same green energy began to flow from all around her and into her body.

I gave her the following blessings: [Bark Skin], [Solar Powered], and [Nature's Child] for a total of 12,000 Energy.

As for the Hybrid Spore Carriers, I had them start training to be guards for Claire so that I could start replacing the spore carriers protecting her with the more human Hybrid Spore Carriers.

In the end, this would actually bring in some more customers seeing as not everybody would be comfortable being around Spore Carriers that look like plant monsters.

Plus the Hybrid Spore Carriers would be much more effective at Guarding since I either had to control the Spore Carriers personally or let their bestial intelligence take control instead.

But when it comes to guarding Claire, I had to always take control since the Spore Carriers would probably just go attack and kill everyone that even looked at Claire wrongly.

Also, the Human Spore Carriers would be able to use guns unlike normal Spore Carriers, so that's another reason why I would prefer to have Human Spore Carriers protect Claire.

So, I had the four Human Spore Carriers recently turned go infect four more random thugs and bring them back to the Vault.

Another week passed and I noticed that my Rangers were indeed hunting, although I don't know what seeing as I haven't looked through their eyes or connected to their minds to talk in a while.

What I do know is that they have definitely been hunting quite a bit seeing as I just hit level 7 already.

From level 7 I gained a few things, multiple plants, and even two new blessings

[Rooted(5,000 Energy)] and [Life Giver(10,000 Energy)]

As for the plants, I got the [Japanese Evergreen Oak Tree(50,000 Energy)], [Cold Wind Flower(15,000 Energy)], and [White Gold Flower(10,000 Energy)].

As for the tree, I already knew what it was, but I haven't heard of the two flowers that came along with it.

Once I grew the flowers I was quite surprised.

Turns out that the Cold Wind Flower worked a lot like Neptune's Flower and absorbed energy just like it, but instead of creating a puddle of water around its base, the Cold Wind Flower would actually begin turning the energy it absorbed into cool air and would begin cooling of its surroundings.

If I had many of these flowers in one area I would be able to physically change an area to be habitable for plants that shouldn't even be able to grow in this hot place.

As for the White Gold Flower, it was more confusing...it was a flower that held a small amount of Salt...

It basically absorbed the salt from the nutrients in the ground and instead of getting the salt stuck in their roots it instead moved the salt up to the flower's petals where the salt would build up.

And once the flower had too much salt in its petals, it would simply shed the petals away and grow new ones, hence helping it survive in such environments where most if not all plants would be unable to survive in.
