Chapter 17 - 17: Tales of the Rangers

All across the Mojave Wasteland and beyond, the survivors of the Great War fought for survival, the strong became overlords of their area where they preyed on the weak and feared the strong.

These Overlords made it almost impossible for anyone under them to live happily, these Overlords worked their people to the bone until they either dropped dead or were quite close to. They were poorly fed and gave little water, these people wanted change, but none were strong or courageous enough to help provide that change.

But then one day, a stranger would appear outside their villages or towns in strange outfits covered in leather with a golden 22 etched into their backs, their faces were covered with hoods and they wielded pistols and carried various melee weaponry.

Shortly after these men arrived they would ask around the town and would go one by one and take care of anything they deemed 'Evil' and 'Corrupt'.

They killed the Overlords and their henchmen while they fed those hungry or dehydrated with a smile on their faces.

When asked who they were, they would just reply that they were 'The Rangers' and that it was their duty to bring peace and eradicate the lawless that killed, ate, robbed, or rȧpėd their fellow men and women for no good reason, but (excluding Raping, they will die either way for their crimes against the world) if it happened to be just for survival The Rangers would teach these lawless to turn their ways and survive in this harsh land by foraging and hunting and in the times to come these Lawless would become productive members of the broken society and if they could not be taught or simply refused the teaching of the Rangers, they were turned into fertilization for the earth they tred upon.

These Rangers preached that it was Nature's Will that led them on their roads of justice and that people should Respect Nature for it is why they are still alive and that if any harm came to Nature then the Rangers were willing to give their lives in protection of Nature.

Then by the next day, these mysterious Rangers would disappear before the sun would rise as if the Rangers weren't in the Village in the first place, but although the Rangers disappeared from the people's lives, their deeds marked the land and the People's Hearts for years to come.

----

From hitting Level 6 I gained a few new plants.

The first one was called Fertilizing Root, basically, it was a root that only needed water and in exchange, it would fertilize the soil beneath the ground, so it formed Symbiotic Relationships with the plant life around them in exchange for a small amount of their water.

The second plant I got was Sunflowers.

And the final plant I got was called Neptune's Flower(This one was from one of my other novels)which absorbed sunlight and while giving a small part of the energy to me, it would turn the rest in clean water that would make a small puddle around the flower's stem.

This flower would not only help hydrate the plants around them but would also provide clean drinking water for small animals and insects.

All I need were a couple more different types of plants and trees and I could theoretically create a functioning Ecosystem that could progress without my interference and from there, I would truly be able to bring back Nature in all its glory back to Earth, so long as no one destroys it of course.

I know that Nature...life is still alive in countless remote places across the world, but most are heavily irradiated, making the trees very unhealthy and making it to where they would bȧrėly last a decade before dying due to the heavy doses of radiation leftover from the Great War.

Plus all of the trees were mutated in some way that harmed their physical health even further.

The only place that seemed to have relatively healthy plant life would be the plant life grown from Harold in Oasis in Fallout 3's Capital Wasteland.

Meaning that if Bob and Harold died the plants surrounding him would die as well.

I wanted to create a permanent solution, where Nature would continue to grow and retake the earth without the need for my influence.

There is one other place I know of that has life, but I doubt it would stay that way for long.

The place I am talking about would be West Virginia, where Fallout 76 takes place.

The reason why I say it probably won't take long for Nature to die in that place is that it's just chock-full of Raiders, Cultists, BOS Members, and more.

Their fighting alone would doom the Plant Life that calls that place home, plus with the multiple nukes that have been detonated in that place the radiation from said bombs would kill off all the plant life in a decade or more.

Now then, I guess I will start growing all of these new plants.
