Chapter 202 - He Yuyan's Choices

"Father, why are you looking so unhappy?" He Julong entered the study and looked surprised when he saw his father's unhappy expression.

"It is all that unfilial daughter's fault!" Master He sneered. Although in the beginning, he had the intention of saving her, he had never thought that in the end, he could not only not save her, but he also lost all his power.

"Do we have a chance of survival?" He Julong was mostly interested in this. He had long since been ready to give up on He Yuyan, but he knew that his father doted on her the most.

"We have a chance of survival," Master He said with gritted teeth. "I have to hand over the He family to you, and we have to punish He Yuyan somehow."

Hearing this, He Julong was taken back. The big winner of this situation had somehow ended up being him?

He knew that his father would never give up on his status and rank amongst the noble families, so he would definitely hand over the shares to him.

Although he was giving up control of the family, he would keep some of the shares for himself, enough to provide him with a decent life until he died.

He Julong had been taken by surprise, he had never expected that a meeting with the Han family's elder would cause him to suddenly be the leading person of the He family, but he was quite grateful. It had always been his aim to take over the family, and he had started to try taking over more and more power slowly, but his father had been against it.

His father was frightened by the thought of giving up his position to someone else, even his own son.

If not for the sake of saving himself, he would never have agreed to the conditions that Old Man Han had given.

At this point in time, he was so livid whenever he thought about what He Yuyan had done to his family. He was even filled with hatred towards Jiang Yingyue. Had she not appeared, then none of this would have happened.

But while he was filled with hatred towards her, he dared not act on this hatred. He had already seen the situation that Zhou Yan had pressed his family into. If something really happened to that woman, it was clear that both the Han and Zhou families would work together to eradicate him.

"So what are we going to do with my dear sister? Send her overseas with a one-way ticket and let her depend on herself? Chase her out of the family and remove her from the books? Make her bow down to Jiang Yingyue and beg for forgiveness?"

Master He was unsure. He felt that it was a bit extreme to drive her out of the family. He also doubted that she would be able to look after herself in the outside world without the money that she got from the He family, so his only option was to have her bow to Jiang Yingyue and beg for forgiveness.

It did not take long before Madam He and He Yuyan arrived at the mansion. They had been out shopping, buying new clothes for an upcoming event.

Neither of them had any understanding of business. Although they knew that He Julong and Master He were unhappy recently, they did not realize how close to being destroyed they were.

When they arrived home, Master He and He Julong left the office and headed downstairs to talk with He Yuyan, and get her to acknowledge her mistakes, alongside telling her the decision they had reached.

"Father!" He Yuyan smiled sweetly as she looked at Master He, but she completely ignored He Julong. She had not forgotten his anger with her, and she kept pretending that she was upset, so that he would not get angry with her again. Unfortunately, it was not successful.

"Yuyan, I will inquire about the next event that Han Qingshan and his girlfriend attend. You are to show up at this event and publicly bow to his girlfriend while begging for forgiveness for what you have done to her."

The more Master He spoke, the paler He Yuyan became, her eyes bulged, and her mouth was opening and closing, but no sound came out. She was so shocked that she even forgot to cry.

After some time, she finally shook her head and screamed, "Never! She stole my boyfriend. Why would I ever bow down to her? It is already enough that I have not killed her yet! I have not even gotten back at her for stealing my boyfriend, and you want me to lower myself in front of her? Never!"

Hearing her vehemently swearing that she'd never bow down and ask for forgiveness, the expressions on Master He and He Julong turned ugly. This was already the most lenient solution they could think of.

"You have a choice," He Julong took over. He now held the most power in the He family, so he did not need to discuss with Master He about the decisions he was going to make.

"You can choose to leave the He family and never again have anything to do with us. You can also choose to go overseas and provide for yourself. Or you can choose to bow down to Jiang Yingyue and beg for her forgiveness.

"I will give you three days to consider which one of these three options you want to accept," He Julong said sullenly.. He was so tired of his sister's childish behavior, and he really hoped that she would pick to leave the family, as he feared what other disasters she might bring them in the future.
