Chapter 172 - Barking Dog

Name:Blossoming Flowers Author:Tinalynge
Jiang Yingyue frowned and quickly stepped back, while the rest of the wine spilled and the wine glass shattered on the floor. The crash resounded throughout the entire banquet hall, and everyone looked over.

"Oh my, I am so clumsy," the woman said without sounding apologetic at all. "Please accept my sincere apology. I was not aware that the wine glass would slip like this."

Everyone present was able to tell what had happened, but no one stepped out to berate the woman. Jiang Yingyue was just a commoner after all, so it was natural that she would be bullied.

Unfortunately, Jiang Yingyue was not willing to suffer a loss. She smiled elegantly and stepped over the broken shards of glass on the floor, closing the distance to the woman.

She then emptied her glass of juice right above the head of the woman, the smile on her face growing even more intense.

"Oh, I am sorry," she said, her voice was clear and crisp, enjoyable to listen to. "I slipped, and my hand could not hold onto my glass. Please accept my sincere apology. I was not aware it would end up like this."

Hearing her words, the face of the woman turned pale and then red. She was humiliated, and she was stunned that Jiang Yingyue actually dared to deal with her like this.

One has to know she might not be from one of the wealthiest families around, but she was still from a noble family, a family with two hundred years of history, but now she had lost face in front of everyone.

She could not even say something in return. Jiang Yingyue had returned every single word to her. Even if she said that Jiang Yingyue's act was intentional, was that not the same as saying hers had been intentional too?

The observers were stumped for words when they saw how Jiang Yingyue took her revenge. Ten years was not late for a gentleman's vengeance, but it seemed that this woman was not willing to suffer any losses, she would deal with those who crossed her right away.

At that moment, all the people present started to understand that although Jiang Yingyue was a mere commoner, she was not simple, nor was she easy to deal with.

Wang Feihong had been staring with his jaw dropped. He felt mad when he saw how the woman had caused Jiang Yingyue to be in a bad situation, but before he even had the time to speak up for her, she had turned the situation around.

"I say, my big sister, that was awesome!" he exclaimed happily, not at all caring about how many people heard his voice. "That was so satisfying that I don't even know how to describe it."

The woman was completely stunned when she saw that the young master of the Wang family was not feeling sorry for her. Even worse was it when she saw the mocking and disdainful gazes that were thrown her way, and with tears streaming down her cheeks, she turned and ran out of the banquet hall.

"Well, my dear big sister, let us find another place to stand," Wang Feihong grinned, clearly happy with his new nickname for her, "this place has to be cleaned."

Then he looked down and noticed that the beautiful shoes she had been wearing were now stained with wine, and he could not help but frown.

It was truly a wicked scheme to embarrass her at her first official event.

Just as Wang Feihong was considering what to do, Han Qingshan appeared behind him. He saw the shattered glass next to them, alongside the wine and juice on the floor, and then his eyes narrowed when he noticed that her previously beautiful shoes had been stained.

"What happened?" he asked with a chilling expression on his face, and Wang Feihong quickly retold the situation. Han Qingshan's face was getting uglier and uglier the more he listened, and his eyes scanned the people present.

Especially the group of girls where Yu Xiulan was standing was scrutinized by him, and they all felt immensely uncomfortable.

"My dear, don't worry. I will get justice for you," Han Qingshan said as he gently patted her head.

Behind him came the host of the auction, and she could sense that something was not right. Seeing that the usually sunny face of Han Qingshan was dark as a thundercloud, she felt worried.

He had just solved a problem for her, but in his absence, his female companion had been bullied. This was simply not acceptable.

Jiang Yingyue was unaware of the thoughts of Han Qingshan. She felt she had already given the lady back what she owed her, but it seemed that Han Qingshan was not willing to let it go that easily.

"I would like to apologize as the host of this event," the host said, and while the other woman had completely disregarded Jiang Yingyue, this woman was humbling herself quite a bit.

Jiang Yingyue felt that it was not her fault either, so she smiled at her and waved her hand. "Just because a dog barks does not mean we should pay it any attention," Jiang Yingyue said smilingly. "I do not feel that this has anything to do with you as a host; she was just not very civilized."

Jiang Yingyue's words had torn the face of that other woman entirely. She had called her a barking dog, and even said she was uncivilized. Being scolded like this by a commoner, it was indeed not a good thing, but no one could say anything against it.. She had indeed acted like a barking dog, and her actions were anything but civilized.
