Despite her young age, Lee Shira's threat made Arwen tried hard to stop sobbing like she understood his words. She pouted her lips that made her looked cuter.

Watching the little girl trying hard to suppress her tears, Lee Shira's lips twitched. But it didn't take too long when he finally extended his arms and took her from Mrs Mei.

Arwen immediately hooked her little arms on Lee Shira's neck, tightening her embrace and buried her crying face but still sobbing silently.

Lee Shira: "..."

Lee Shira's body stiffened. But he raised his hand to rub Arwen's back and speak with his cold voice. "Didn't I say to stop crying? I will give you back if you continue."

Unfortunately, Arwen did not stop. Instead, she tightened her arms on his neck where he almost can't breath. but Lee Shira did not try to persuade the child to stop crying.

Lee Shira continued on gently rubbing the little girl's back and said with a cold commanding voice. "Sleep if you want to stay with me"

Then Lee Shira looked back at Mei Joan whose smiling while watching him taking care of the little girl. There was no sign of anger on how he treated the child.

Of course Mei Joan understand what Lee Shira is trying to do with Arwen. Since the child has tantrums, it is better for her to have someone she feared.

Mei Joan remembered that although Arwen didn't have any expressions on her cute little face, unlike the other children, she does not fear anyone.

Lee Shira arched his brows with curiosity while looking at Mei Joan's expressions. His treatment towards Arwen should make Mrs Mei have negative thoughts about him, but she didn't.

He even wondered why would Mrs Mei trusted him and his wife to take care of the little girl. They are strangers who will stay on their cabin for two weeks.

Shouldn't Mrs Mei feel worried that they might suddenly leave and take the child with them? But it seemed that was not the case which made Lee Shira feel disappointed.

Even though the child was Mrs Mei's granddaughter from her nephew; whatever the situation, it is an irresponsible decision to ask a stranger to watch over the child.

With annoyance, Lee Shira can't help but think that Mei Joan seemed not worried about the little girl to be taken cared by someone else.

Even though he is not planning to do something bad to the little girl, Lee Shira still feel very disappointed at Mei Joan. He doesn't like people who are irresponsible.

Looking at the bright side, having Arwen with them can make his wife be with the little girl. Besides, there's something else that Lee Shira need to find out between the two.

Lee Shira's face remained the same, so as his voice when he speaks. "We can look after her while we're here. You can focus to look after your son in the hospital."

Mei Joan was thunderstruck. She did not expect Lee Shira's offer, but she felt hesitant thinking about her granddaughter to stay with them for so long.

Watching Mei Joan's complicated expression, Lee Shira added with assurance. "Don't worry, we won't run away with the child. I'm just thinking about my wife. She's too fond of her."

With Lee Shira's assurance, Mei Joan thought for a second as she looked at Arwen before to Lee Shira. She had taken a deep and finally nodded.

"Then I apologize for the inconvenience Mr Lee. But please take good care of Arwen. I will come by to check on her." Mei Joan uttered with worry on her voice.

Lee Shira did not speak but nodded while he took the baby bag on Mrs Mei's hand. Watching the middle age woman looking at the little girl with hesitation, but he did not say another word.

Nevertheless, there was a flash on Lee Shira's eyes that missed Mei Joan's gaze. She turned around to leave immediately to see her son at the hospital.
