"They’re busy doing other things. Serge is going to hold a press conference," Nathan replied.

Mandy looked up at Nathan in confusion. "Aren’t you going?" she asked.

"If I had to attend everything myself, what’s the point of hiring them? Serge can take care of it."

"Oh," Mandy said absent-mindedly. "Aren’t you busy with the company?" she asked again.

"Serge is back now, so he’ll deal with everything. I wanted to take a few days off to stay with you and Adrian." The corners of Nathan’s mouth curved up into a dashing smile.

Mandy didn’t say anything more, but the expression on her face was strange. She was wondering whether it was the right time to mention her pregnancy.

If she told him, he would want her to keep the baby. If she attempted to get an abortion behind his back, he would surely find out and be upset with her.

After some hesitation, Mandy decided that she shouldn’t do anything risky right now

Mandy suddenly felt uncomfortable. She refused to go with him. She broke away from Nathan’s hands and asked with a frown, "What are you doing? Don’t you think you’re over-reacting? I'm not pregnant."

"But your period is always on time, isn’t it?" Nathan replied.

"It’s normal for it to be a few days late, as long as it’s not more than a week," Mandy said nervously, feeling anxious that Nathan would be able to tell that something was off.

"Mandy, tell me the truth. Are you pregnant?" Nathan could already tell that Mandy was acting suspiciously, and his eyes were immediately alert.
