It was inevitable for couples to have conflicts, but the one who decided to apologize first must love the other more.

That person would be willing to set aside their pride to maintain their relationship.

Mandy had no idea what made Nathan treat her so well.

She felt that she had gone too far today.

Mandy reached out a hand towards her face and silently wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes. She was able to calm herself now. After taking a deep breath, she said over the phone, "Thank you, Nathan."

"Don’t be silly. You’re the one I love most. It’s natural for me to want to treat you well." Nathan smiled in satisfaction. He felt overjoyed when Mandy had taken the initiative to call him.

Mandy was a stubborn woman, and Nathan was well aware of that fact.

He still didn't know what he had done wrong. He continued to ponder over it, for the only matter he had ever hidden from Mandy was Jennifer.

Jennifer was no issue for him. The only reason he hesitated in mentioning her was that he was afraid to upset her. Ever since Damian passed away three years ago, he had hoped that Mandy would be able to let go of her hatred. This was Damian’s last wish when he was alive.

"Yes, it was raining heavily earlier, and all the flights were suspended. I might be home a bit later than expected. Wait for me in the hospital, will you?" Nathan's voice was gentle; it as if he was coaxing a child.

Mandy nodded in silence, tears falling down her face. She took a deep breath to steady herself and covered her mouth with the back of her hand to stifle her sobs. suddenly dawned on Fiona that she had just had a nightmare. She opened her mouth to speak but stopped on second thought. Staring up at Ethon’s clear eyes, she was unable to speak further.

"I’m fine. It’s just a little stuffy in here," Fiona replied after a few moments.

Ethon couldn’t decide if Fiona was telling the truth or not, but he had this thought at the back of his head all day that Fiona was acting strange. Was it because pregnant women had a lot on their minds?

"Are you tired? Let’s go inside quickly, so you can get some rest." Ethon held Fiona’s hand gently and kissed her again.

Fiona lowered her head shyly and said, "Okay."

After getting out of the car, Ethon wrapped his hand around Fiona’s waist out of habit. It was an intimate action between the couple. In the past, when the two had been in a relationship, Fiona would only allow Ethon to hold her hand. As their relationship deepened, they become closer and more comfortable with one another.

They entered the living room, where the lights were turned on.

Malcolm was drinking a glass of milk while Monica was knitting a sweater. She had light blue wool in one hand and a book about knitting sweaters balanced on her knees.
