Chapter 866 Eve's Trick

Eve was really annoying.

"I have nothing to say to rubbish like you. Karma will eventually get you, Eve. If you continue committing sins, you will receive your retribution," Mandy warned angrily through gritted teeth.

"You know, Mandy, when I went to pick up Adrian from his kindergarten school that one time, he really trusted me. After he got in the car, I gave him a cup of milk tea with knockout drops in it. He fell asleep after a few sips and then... Well, I jammed the needle into his arm. At that time, I really didn't have it fully in my heart to do it. I did wish that I was sticking the needle in your arm. Now that I think about it, I really feel heartbroken." Eve put on an act, deliberately faking a sob.

Mandy knew that Eve said what she said on purpose to annoy her, so she decided that she had to control her temper. She could not go out and meet Eve by herself. She had to wait until Nathan came back.

"Do you think you can provoke me by saying that? You're being ridiculous. You're such a superficial woman. No wonder Nathan doesn't like you." Mandy clenched her free hand into a fist and clutched her phone with the other, using more force than necessary. She looked ferocious.

But when she spoke, she still tried to restrain her emotions.

Eve chuckled and took a deep breath. "Nathan doesn't love me, and he doesn't love you either. You're just a backup."

Blinking her eyes, Mandy thought, 'How did Eve know these things? It's absolutely impossible that Nathan told her. Could Jennifer be aligned with Eve now?'

Some time ago, when Jennifer shoved Mandy into a lake, Mandy had always wanted to take revenge on her. But after the incident, Jennifer seemed to have disappeared from the world, and Mandy could not get any information about her. She had also asked Nathan to look f

, lost in thought. When she looked into the distance, she found the logo of JR International shining in the sun. It was dazzling enough to put somebody's eyes out.

It was about two o'clock in the afternoon, so it should be about nine o'clock in the morning in Paris. She wondered what Nathan was doing now. Holding back her emotions, she kept thinking about why Nathan hid Jennifer's whereabouts from her. Her heart instantly filled with resentment at the thought.

Mandy felt so aggrieved, but she could not vent her anger. She turned around and went back to the ward in silence.

Fiona was not in a good mood either. After finding out Monica's condition, she had been out of her mind all day long.

Mandy had said what she meant to say. After the phone call with Eve, Mandy was a little tired. She pursed her lips and sat on the sofa silently.

Turning her head to look at Mandy, Fiona did not expect that Mandy's face would become so pale after a phone call. She was a little flustered and asked worriedly, "Sis, what's wrong? Who were you talking to on the phone?"

"It's just my professor," Mandy lied.

Fiona took it seriously and asked innocently, "Professor Elizabeth? Why did she call?"
