Chapter 858 Wishful Thinking

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
"Why didn't you tell me about this sooner?" Mandy held her head down and felt a little embarrassed. She didn't expect that Nathan would develop a new complete makeup brand just for her.

"Darling, if I told you about this in advance, could it still be called a surprise?" He placed a finger on Mandy's chin, raising her head slightly to face him. As soon as her eyes locked on his, he gave her a big smile.

Mandy fell silent as she thought about what he said. A moment later, she knew what he said was true. If she had known about it earlier, then it wouldn't be a surprise now. Recently, Adrian's condition wasn't getting optimistic any time soon, so there were a lot of things she had to take care of and worry about. Other than Elizabeth's incoming visit to City A, this surprise was the only other thing that was making Mandy's mood lighten up.

"But, when are you going to Paris?" After hearing Nathan's reply, Mandy's eyes opened wide. She thought that Nathan would still be leaving a few days later, but she didn't expect that he would leave sooner, which was today.

"I'm sorry, darling. The conference will be held tomorrow, so I have to leave today," Nathan replied with reluctance.

Mandy was left slightly stunned. Her expression turned stiff and dull as she felt her heart sink. She was totally unprepared for Nathan leaving for Paris when she thought he was still leaving a few days later, let alone knowing that he was leaving now. After composing herself to the reality that she didn't have that much time left with Nathan for now, she pulled his sleeve and said with a forced smile and a slight pout, "This soon?"

"I'm really sorry, Mand. Believe me when I say that I really don't want to go there. I want to stay here by your side, especially with what we are going through now, but I can't refuse. Will you be all right here? Promise me that you won't go out alone while I am gone. Make sure that you have bodyguards following you, do you understand?" As he thought about Mandy's safety while he was away, there was a tremble that appeared in Nathan's eyes. He couldn't control his emotions for a second. After all, it was a critical time, and this wasn't exactly the right time they should be apart. They must go through these difficult times hand in hand. Then again, this conference was something he could not just set aside. This controlled their future life as well.

Understanding the situation, Mandy nodded with a weak smile. Then, she threw herself into Nathan's arms with her eyes brimming and gleaming with tears, trying to hold them back so that Nathan wouldn't feel so bad about leaving.

Under the light

she heard these intimate words.

Still, speaking of having another baby, Mandy didn't have any objection to that all, because she, too, wanted to have another baby. As a matter of fact, it was many people's dream to have both a son and a daughter, and she was no exception.

"Speaking of another baby, do you want a daughter or a son?" Mandy asked, blinking her eyes, which were now filled with tenderness.

"Well, to be honest, I'd like whatever you give birth to," Nathan blurted out without hesitation.

Mandy was so touched with his reply that her cheeks blush even more. Grinning from ear to ear, she said, "I know you'd still like a daughter."

Raising his eyebrows, Nathan replied in lazy and evil tone, "Sure... Well then, you'd better give birth to a daughter as cute and as lovely as you."

Mandy rolled her eyes at this and bantered, "I don't want that. If she is like me, you might love her more than you love me." She then childishly stuck her tongue out.

"Silly woman, that's not going to happen." Nathan then reached out his hand and held hers.

As their fingers interlocked, they felt the distance between their hearts close, joining each other.

"I'm just kidding. As a matter of fact, whether it's a boy or a girl doesn't really matter to me. I just want to have another baby, but the thought of a daughter is really sweet also," Mandy spoke with a sweet smile. She thought of Lisa in her mind. In fact, she hadn't see her for a long time now, so she wondered how she was doing recently.

Previously, Morry had planned to take Lisa to visit Mandy, but as soon as Colin left, she got a big case on her hands and was unable to make time for it. Fortunately, Lisa didn't complain about it, or else Morry would have had a headache.
