Chapter 786 One Week

Serge didn't ask any further questions. Nathan's way of thinking was quite different from what most people would understand.

His master, Fred, often advised him to work more and talk less when it came to Nathan. After all, Nathan had high expectations for him. Nathan hoped that eventually, Serge would take Fred's job in the future. Perhaps, Serge would just be like Fred, who had remained single for his entire life.

Fred hadn't gotten married because the woman he loved was gone. At this point, he felt that he was too old to meet anyone else. As for Serge, he wasn't interested in anyone else because the woman he loved was Mandy. He loved no one else but her—every night when he went to bed, he dreamed of her and only her. Despite his intense feelings, he kept this to himself. He decided that the best he could do was protect Mandy silently.

Serge had heard from Fred that Nathan, too, had loved a woman. He couldn't help but be curious about what type of woman a cool guy like Nathan would have been in love with. He wondered who the woman was. This had crossed his mind several times, and he always concluded that the woman must be outstandingly beautiful.

However, this wasn't true. Nathan liked purity and innocence, a woman that could be likened to a tender bud just blossoming in spring. She was a breath of fresh air.

Nathan pushed the door open and walked in. He pressed the automatic induction switch on the wall. In an instant, the initially dark room was immediately lit up.

Ouyang had already accustomed himself to the darkness, and when the light came, he found it difficult to open his eyes. Soon, his eyes started tea

t hard to believe that someone like Ouyang would like Eve. He also couldn't deny that the way Ouyang was looking at him right now was quite suspicious.

"Ouyang, do you think I'm stupid? Do you think you can cheat your way out of this just because you're working with Eve?" As Nathan spoke, his tone was laced with utter anger and menace, his lips curled.

Ouyang's lips quivered. Nathan's intuition was accurate. Ouyang took a deep breath and attempted to calm himself down. "Believe it or not... What I said is true."

"I'll give you one week to either get me the antidote or kill yourself." Nathan glowered at him, the look on his face ominous.

Ouyang didn't respond right away. He knew the antidote couldn't be invented in a week. However, he couldn't help but wonder why Adrian's condition was worsening at an incredibly fast pace.

He himself had even forgotten what ingredient he had added to the poison. Having done the experiment on hundreds of mice, this meant that he had extracted the poison from different mice. How could he invent the antidote in such a short period of time?
