"Ethon, you really don't need to. I have money, really. Mandy had given me some. It should be enough for us. We are going to graduate soon, anyways. A part-time job would only be a waste of time. It's better that you focus on your thesis." Fiona didn't worry about money at all. Mandy had always paved the way for her.

Mandy had bought her an apartment downtown, which was being furnished at that time. They would live in that apartment once they finished their studies.

"But… But, I am penniless. I can't always depend on you." Ethon pursed his lips. He was born into a wealthy family, and he had never worried about money before.

Their rent alone was valued at four thousand dollars per month. If all living expenses were factored in, their average monthly dues would exceed ten thousand dollars.

"If you really want a part-time job, you might as well work for Colin's company," Fiona suggested and smiled.

"That's a great idea. I'll call Colin later," Ethon enthusiastically replied. He seemed more relaxed than earlier.

Fiona held Ethon by the arm and said, "How do we go back then?"

"How about taking a cab? It's really hot outside," Ethon suggested.

"Ha-ha! I have been riding buses since I was in primary school. I know all the routes buses take in City A." She patted her chest proudly. However, in her heart, Fiona would always be dearly thankful that Mandy had bought a car for her.

Although Monica intended to financially deprive Ethon, she had no control over other benefactors such as Mandy. Monica had even h

Mandy momentarily froze when she heard what Nathan said. She carefully raised her head and looked at him. Her voice trembled as she asked, "What do you mean by that, Nathan? How was that car accident your fault?"

In that moment, Mandy was deeply sympathetic towards Nathan. How much had this man suffered? Why had he never told me about it?

All of a sudden, Nathan knelt down in front of the tomb. His usual graceful figure turned limp.

Confused, Mandy tried grab Nathan as he knelt down. She said nothing. Instead, she patiently allowed Nathan to grieve.

The sky began to grow darker, and the streetlights began to shimmer. All of a sudden, everything felt eerie.

"Back then, when my father had just handed JS International to me, I rejected one of my uncle's proposals. Out of anger, my uncle planned that car accident to supposedly kill me." The expression on Nathan's face was cold and complicated. The only thing that was certain was the pain that he felt.
