If Simon had known about her situation, he wouldn't have asked Nathan for help. Now, he had landed them in big trouble. What the hell was he going to do?

"I didn't know if I could make it, so I planned to tell you once I passed the audition," Nacy explained. The director of the movie was even nominated for an Oscar the previous year. This was an opportunity that she just couldn't miss for the world.

Nacy had always dreamed of being a star ever since she was a child. She dreamed of being with the likes of Vivien Leigh and Audrey Hepburn. Although she was born with a good family background, she wanted to make something for herself, which was why she worked incredibly hard on set. In fact, she never used a double, even when it came to dangerous stunts.

"Let's go to the hospital tomorrow, okay?" he said softly. Simon knew what was on her mind. He didn't know what to do anymore.

After everyone greeted Sue, someone played the violin, signaling the start of the party.

Holding Mandy's hand, Nathan led her to the dance floor. They gazed at each other with so much love and affection that it felt as if they were the only ones standing in the hall. Her lips raised as she flashed him a smile, arousing him.

As soon as the song was over, Adrian clapped his hands. "Dad, Mom, you're awesome!" he yelled out.

Daisy held her grandson in her arms, rubbing her cheeks against Adrian's smooth face. "Silly boy." She laughed.

"Let's go." Regardless of her objection, Nathan slithered an arm around her waist and guided her to t

"So you always felt tired?" Nacy's shoulders sagged in relief. 'I don't have any of those symptoms. Maybe that's a good sign.'

"Yeah. I felt so tired for the first trimester." Mandy sighed, taking a sip from her champagne. "Why? Are you pregnant?"

"No, I'm not pregnant." Nacy pressed her lips together.

"Why the sudden need to know?"

"Simon's dying to have a baby, but next month, I'll be going to the States to shoot a movie. I couldn't have one now," she lamented.

After saying all that, Nacy finished her champagne all at once.

"Nacy, I know that you've always wanted to be a star, but you and Simon still don't have a child after being married for three years. Aren't your parents-in-law uncomfortable with that?" Mandy asked worriedly.

"His parents didn't say anything, but my parents have been the complete opposite." Nacy sighed.

"That's because Simon's parents love you. They don't want to pressure you, but that still doesn't change the urgency. Look at me. My body shape has already recovered. If you get older, your body might not be able to adjust," she persuaded.
