Looking deep into his eyes, Mandy's heart skipped a beat. She reached out her arms and wrapped them around his neck as if she knew exactly what he was planning to do.

Having been together for many months, they each already knew what the other was thinking.

Nathan smiled, carrying her up into her room.

The next morning, as Mandy was sleeping, Nathan quickly dressed. Before he left, he glanced at the woman sleeping at his side of the bed. She was quiet when she slept–peaceful. His lips twitched as he lowered his mouth to kiss her on the forehead.

Without another word, he left to board his private plane.

Mandy woke up in a daze. She had become used to waking up in an empty house ever since she was pregnant, so she knew that Nathan had already gone away on his trip.

On her bedside table, she saw a post-it note. Mandy lazily rubbed her eyes and leaned in closer to the table to read it.

"Honey, have a good rest at home. Call me if you miss me. Love. Your husband."

Mandy smiled softly. This was the perfect time for her to visit City C. She needed to know what happened to Sharon.

Once she packed her luggage, Mandy went to carry it down the staircase.

Lillian rushed up the staircase when she heard scuffling noises. Her eyes widened when she saw Mandy walking down. "Madam," she rushed towards her. "I can take it."

Mandy waved her off. "It's fine."

"No, please Madam...let me," Lillian insisted. Without giving Mandy time to refuse her, she automatically grabbed the suitcase from Mandy's hold and carried it into the living room.

Once everything was sorted out, she turned to Mandy with furrowed eyebrows. "Madam, where are you going?"

"I plan to go home and stay there for a few days."

"Ah,

eous scenery. The town was close to nature, so it was very charming. Colin rang the doorbell.

After waiting for a long time, nobody came. Mandy chewed her lip. "Do you think they moved?" she asked.

"No." He frowned. "It's probably because they're working right now. How about we find a place to wait for them and visit them when it's night?"

"Sure."

They went to a nearby teahouse, which was quaint and peaceful–matching the entire neighborhood's atmosphere.

After making a cup of Longjing tea, Colin looked up at her. "Would you like a cup of tea?"

Mandy shook her head. She'd read from different articles that women must drink less tea when they were with child. "No, thanks." She smiled.

"Oh! I forgot you are pregnant." Colin's eyes fell on Mandy's bulging belly. At the sight, he felt his heart sink into a large abyss.

Although he was envious, he wasn't one to say it. Ever since he came back to his family, his father had arranged three blind dates for him. Although he went out with them and ate with them politely, he never really felt a spark. The woman he loved was sitting right in front of him. However, she was already taken.
