Nathan's thin lips were drawn into a faint smile unknowingly. He picked up his cellphone and made a call to the dressmaker. He rattled off Mandy's sizes to the staff and proceeded to order the expensive wedding dress.

At about three o'clock in the afternoon, Mandy went home with Madeline.

However, the more names she wrote down, the more tightly she held the pen. Mandy had bought a lot of invitation cards. First, she wrote the names of all her relatives. Then, she began to write the names of her friends, and her colleagues in the hospital first before the rest.

When she finished writing the last one, Bruce, she paused. Her heart was instantly filled with gratitude.

Bruce still didn't know that she was going to get married. After thinking for a while, Mandy immediately took out her phone and called him.

At the moment, Bruce was correcting his students' homework in his office. It was Friday, and all the students were about to go home and start their weekend. As soon as he thought that there was still a lot of homework to be corrected, he began to have a headache unconsciously.

His phone rang then. Irritated at the distraction, he glanced at the caller ID: Mandy. Seeing her name, all his annoyance from being disturbed at work disappeared.

"Mand," he answered the phone with his voice full of surprise. He had missed her so much. He didn't expect that Mandy would take the initiative to call him.

"Are you busy now?" Mandy scratched her head, a little unsure if Bruce was free to receive her call.

"No. What's up?" Bruce put his red pen down. He stared at the mountain of homework he still had to go through. Sadness tugged at his chest before he chucked the unpleasant feeling away. As long as he could talk with Mandy, staying up all night to finish correcting papers would be worth it. Speaking with Mandy was like the bright sun driving the dark clouds away.

"Are you still at school now? I have something to discuss with you." Mandy looked at her watch. It was Friday today. She could pick Nana up at her high school before taking her home.

"Okay, anytime." Bruce's eyes were burning. As soon as he thought of Mandy's face, he laughed excitedly.

"Mom, I'm going out," Mandy called out as soon as she ended the call with Bruce. She put the inv

y, Bruce reached out his hand to hold her in his arms. His umbrella was not big enough to fit both of them. Besides, he was a rather tall man. Inside the awning of the umbrella, it was a little crowded for them.

Bruce didn't think too much about it. He was too focused on keeping Mandy from most of the rain to care too much about the space between them. He didn't want the rain to seep through Mandy's clothes and make her feel cold.

"Bruce, do you have a dorm in your school?" The rain continued to pour down, drenching everything in its path. Bruce put his arms around her, trying to keep her from getting too wet in the rain. Mandy knew Bruce was a trustworthy person. He wouldn't take advantage of her this time, or any time at all, for that matter.

"Yes. Do you want to go to my dorm room?" Bruce asked with a gentle smile on his face.

"Okay. You can go change your clothes by the way. It's wet."

The English teacher watched their every move clearly from the second floor of the teaching building.

Under the heavy rain, Bruce carefully protected Mandy. He kept her body centered under the umbrella, even at the expense of his clothes.

Witnessing this scene, the English teacher's eyes narrowed slightly. She took out her phone from her pocket and took a few photos. Her pretty face changed slightly. Her eyes were full of jealousy.

She knew Bruce liked Mandy. She had seen her photo on his phone's screen. Besides, how could she forget Mandy, who ran across the stage during the school's anniversary?
