"Okay." Nacy sighed in relief. Although she had no idea how Simon restrained himself, she truly was grateful to him. She really wanted things to be special.

Simon could only smile in reply as he placed his arm under Nacy's neck to support her head. They held each other tightly. He'd noticed how their heartbeats were beating at the same pace.

It was as if they were high school love birds who had just felt love in its purest forms. Their excitement swelled deep in their hearts as they simply wrapped themselves around each other's presence.

The long night was as sweet as it was precious to the couple.

The next day

After work, Mandy asked Nacy to get some shopping done as well as inviting her to have dinner together. Once Nacy was finished with her shooting, she immediately went to the mall.

To make sure that she wouldn't be recognized, she wore a mask and a pair of sunglasses.

"Nacy, I honestly used to admire your lifestyle being a celebrity and all. But now, I don't think being famous is all it's cracked up to be. At least, I get to enjoy my own privacy," Mandy commented, sighing out. Every time they were with Nacy, she'd always go through incredible lengths to make sure that she wasn't seen or heard by the public.

"That's why I'm going to quit show business in a couple of years." Although she was just in her twenties, she had already been in the industry for more than a decade. If she weren't bored back then, then maybe she wouldn't have resorted to acting.

Her eyes glinted. "Already planning to settle down?" Mandy teased.

"Not really. I want to set up my own clothing store, you know? Sell my designs."

"Hmm." Mandy pursed her lips. "Have you considered the income? I mean, y

m behind them.

"Well, she obviously can't afford it," the other one snorted out. "I mean, could you even see the way she dresses? She's obviously a social climber."

"That's right! I forgot poor people are doing that, Bonnie."

Their words were aimed at Mandy as Bonnie and Eve's voice filled up the store. The staff was already very uncomfortable at the tension that filled the room.

"Wait just a second! You..." Nacy gritted her teeth as she turned, only to see that it was Eve and Bonnie. She clenched her fists, about to pick up a fight if not for Mandy holding her back.

Mandy shook her head in warning. It wouldn't be good for Nacy to get into this. She was a star, so this wouldn't be good for her image.

"Don't mind them, Nacy. They're just a bunch of dogs. All they know is how to bark." Mandy's eyes glinted.

"Who're you calling a dog, huh?" Eve snarled and stomped her way over to them.

"Who do you think, bitch? For someone so rich, you sure do lack the class." Nacy sneered.

"Wow," Bonnie's harsh voice filled the shop, and she strutted over to her. "Look what the devil dragged in. It is my ex's girl, it isn't?"
