Chapter 340 Gap Between Dream And Reality

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Colin was sitting quietly, looking like a prince straight out of a fairy tale. His chiseled handsome face was charming.

Four years had passed, but Colin hadn't changed one bit. He was still the gentle, graceful guy he used to be.

Professor Yu smiled but didn't say a word. He was in his fifties, and Colin was a student in one of his courses. He had come to see him, seeking answers. The professor was never interested in the personal lives of his student, but Mandy's surprised face revealed that the two of them shared a bond beyond friendship.

Mandy was submitting her thesis and was interrupted by Colin when she was about to leave.

"Mand, are you free now?" Colin smiled as he straightened up his black suit.

"Yes." Nathan was busy, working overtime in the afternoon at the JS International. As she had not made any plans with Nathan, Mandy was happy to chat with Colin. She had not seen him in ages and thought it was the best chance to catch up with an old friend.

"Would you like to have a cup of coffee with me?" Colin asked politely.

"Sure." Mandy smiled. Colin was like Mandy's big brother, and she had always felt warm and comfortable around him. She felt genuinely happy and relaxed after a long time.

"Professor Yu, can we leave now?" Colin asked.

"Okay, go ahead. I'll take a look at the thesis," the professor said, picking up Mandy's thesis from the desk.

Mandy and Colin walked to the coffee shop.

The coffee shop was quiet and almost empty.

"Colin, it's been ages. How have you been? Why are you at University A today?" Mandy smiled while stirring the latte art in her cup.

"I have a case at hand, and I'm here to discuss it with Professor Yu." Colin shrugged casually and took a sip of his coffee.

"I see. What's keeping you busy? Are you in the police now?" Mandy asked, cocking her head to the side. She had changed her phone number, and all the contacts of her old schoolmates had gone along with her old number.

"Take another guess. Do I look like the police?" Colin smiled,

her was the talk of City A, but the Yu Family seemed unconcerned by it.

Ivy was a strong, independent woman who had brought up Colin all by herself. She was not one to think about ending her life. When Colin took the case to court, the prosecutor closed it by concluding that it was indeed suicide and not murder.

But Colin had not rested since then. He did not believe that his mother had committed suicide. He searched every corner of the house for some clue that could lead him to the reason for his mother's death, but he couldn't find any. Colin approached the department of communication service to check Ivy's phone calls to find out whom she had talked to before dying. But he was informed that someone had already terminated her number.

Colin was in his second year of university when his mother died. He had excelled in medical school, but something in him shifted when his mother left him. He decided to become a successful prosecutor to find out the truth behind his mother's death. He immediately changed his major and worked hard to become a prosecutor.

However, several years had passed, and the case seemed to have hit a dead end with the termination of Ivy's phone number, which could have potentially brought him closer to the murderer. He couldn't find the truth yet. He couldn't find any evidence that would lead him somewhere.
