Chapter 318 Being Kidnapped

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Mandy had never imagined how difficult Annie's family life was. As she walked around the place, she started to realize that not everybody had what she had, and not everybody could reach the same level of happiness she did.

As she walked deeper and deeper into the ruins, Mandy felt sorrier for the child. She nodded firmly. "It's here."

"But, are you really sure? This place...It looks like it's from a landfill." Cassie wrung her hand around Mandy's arm, while the other held the medical kit. Sweat beaded down her neck as she took another look at the place.

"Don't worry." Mandy turned. "Let's go."

Cassie pouted. "Don't you think this is a trap, Mand?" Her eyes widened wildly as these animated thoughts entered her mind.

"What do you think they'll want from me? Money? They can't even sell me to a den of prostitutes," she snorted in reply, rolling her eyes. Sometimes, Cassie had a very active imagination.

"I swear, if you don't think you're pretty, I don't even know what beauty is," Cassie scoffed, teasing her. Her stiff stance relaxed just a bit because she joked with Mandy. Although the place was a mess, at least, she got to go here with Mandy.

"You're way prettier." Mandy smiled, poking her on the side.

Cassie grinned from ear to ear. Soon, all the worries they had over visiting this place had finally dissipated as they strolled deeper into the place.

After walking around for a few minutes, they finally found Annie's home. Mandy stepped forward and knocked at the door.

As she looked the house up and down, Cassie's eyes widened momentarily. 'This house...' she thought, thinking back to her own. At that moment, she couldn't help but be grateful that she was given the house she had.

It didn't take long for Annie's mother to open the door. She sto

the bridge of her nose, so Mandy could slightly see what was going on. The blinding light made her dizzy, and she registered the large man standing in front of them.

After a few seconds, her eyes finally adjusted to the light. The man was large and bulky with tattoos all around his chest, and from the looks of his face, it looked like he was a lion held to starve for the past few days.

Her heart started to speed up.

Cassie was so scared that she was murmuring short prayers in her heart. This was the type of things she'd see in movies, not in real life!

"I'm here. They won't hurt you," Mandy consoled Cassie when she felt her hands tremble.

Compared to Cassie, Mandy was much calmer. She knew that these people must want something from her, so there was still hope that they would be kept alive. All they needed to do was agree to their requirements.

Cassie bit her lips, slowly nodding.

The man stomped over towards them, and his fat belly swayed with each step. He towered over them like a giant.

His arms crossed as he looked down at Mandy with a sneer outlining his lips.

"Just come to me. Let her go," Mandy demanded, trying to keep her voice firm and calm.
