"What are you talking about? Okay, let's go to the hotel tomorrow and ask them first." Nathan patted Mandy's shoulder, trying to assure her. He was much relieved when he heard her concerns.

For some reason, Nathan had always had a hunch that nothing happened between Mandy and Bruce.

"Nathan..." Mandy looked at him, blinking. She wanted to say something but stopped. She wanted to say that if something really happened between Bruce and her. Her mind was still clouded with conflicting thoughts. She could still not rest assured. Nathan did not need her to say anything. He was aware of Mandy's state of mind.

"Mand, whatever you did, I want you," Nathan said with a resolute look on his face. He looked deeply into Mandy's eyes. Then he reached out his hand and clasped her palm. The warmth of his hand comforted Mandy. Their fingers interlocked as they held each other tightly...

Mandy's heart was brimming. She blinked her eyes. Tears were welling up again, which blurred her vision. Through the thin mist, she could see the sincerity in Nathan's face.

They stared at each other for a long time. Then, Nathan gently cupped Mandy's beautiful face with his hands, pulled it closer, and planted a soft kiss on her pink lips. How much he had missed her! If only he could express it in words!

"Mand, no matter what happens, we should face it together," he said tenderly.

With tears flowing out of her eyes, Mandy nodded and responded to his kiss. Nathan pulled her closer, and once again, the two lovers lost themselves in the act of love.

After they made love for a while again, Mandy was so tired that she was almost on the verge of dozing off. She half-closed her eyes and lay in Nathan's arms. Suddenly, a thought came to her mind that whipped her back to consciousness.

All of a sudden, it dawned upon her that they were not at No. 520, Haibin Road. In fact, they were at the house of Nathan's grandpa! There had come here to attend Nathan's grandpa's birthday party.

How could they do such a thing here? The birthday party downstairs should still be going on.

As soon as the thought came to her mind, Mandy was so agitated that she sprang up from the bed at once. She covered her chest with the quilt, but the fair skin of her back was still exposed in the air.

Seeing this, Nathan pulled her over to lie down and held her in his arms again. He looked happy and didn't think about anything.

"Nathan... It's... We are at your grandfathe

rted to draw circles with the tip of his fingers on her lower abdomen. The soft ticklish feeling spread across Mandy's body and made her wiggle. But being tightly held by Nathan, she could hardly move. She quickly reached out her hand and pushed him away.

"Nathan, what are you doing?" she asked as she glared at him. She looked so cute when she was angry.

"Why did you dress up so sexy today?" Nathan looked up with his dark eyes turning into a pool of spring water.

"I didn't want to wear it. The designer asked me to," Mandy said innocently.

"Any man would think about something improper when they saw you in that kind of dress." Nathan smiled as he spoke, and his expression softened a little.

Mandy felt ashamed to hear his words. So much so that she wanted to hide. She nestled her head on Nathan's shoulder as he breathed warm air beside her ear, and she felt that she had turned red out of shyness.

Fred was back within half an hour.

As Fred climbed to the second floor to reach Nathan's room, he sneaked through a secret passage to avoid grabbing the attention of the family and the guests who were present at the party.

Nathan and Mandy were talking about Nathan's business trip to the United States. Nathan told Mandy how much he had missed her in those days.

They were interrupted by a knock on the door. At first, there was a single knock on the door, which was followed by three knocks that came in a particular rhythm, further followed by two more knocks. It sounded like a secret code that Nathan was pretty much familiar with. Nathan could tell by the knock on the door that it was Fred on the other side.
