"What is with the attitude? Can you afford a Mercedes Benz?" the man arched an eyebrow and asked disdainfully. He was acting like a snob and was triggering Mandy's anger.

Mandy rolled her eyes and said coldly, "It's none of your business."

"I'm confessing my love to you. You know you'll be fortunate to have someone like me as your boyfriend. You're the lucky one to win my heart," the man continued while smirking at Mandy.

"No, thank you." Mandy smiled politely. She turned and decided to leave quietly.

She was not in the mood to continue her class. The man sitting next to her was eating her brain. She had been having a great day so far until the fool ruined it for her with his cocky attitude. Mandy was oblivious to what was happening.

"Hey, girl! How can you be rude? I'm confessing my love to you." The man lost his mind when he saw Mandy taking her purse, preparing to leave.

"Well, Mister, if that's the case, I'm not ready to accept your proposal. Now, if you would excuse me..." Mandy trailed off, hoping to leave.

"Wow! You think I'm not good enough even though I own a Benz. What a gold digger!" The man became furious when Mandy seemed unaffected by his wealth and charm. So he began to hurl curses at Mandy.

Mandy was trying hard to repress the anger that was bubbling up inside her, waiting to explode. She gritted her teeth and walked towards the exit.

But the man did not stop. He quickly caught up with Mandy and grabbed her slender arm.

"Let me go." Mandy glared as she was trembling with fury. She hated being touched by strangers; moreover, this man had been annoying her the whole time.

"No, I won't. What are you going to do? Huh?" the man asked smugly as he lifted his chin and continued to stare at Mandy. Judging Mandy's petite figure, the man thought that she was a weak and helpless woman who was incapable of doing anything to him.

"Okay." Mandy closed her eyes and let out a loud sigh. "I'm going to give you three seconds to let go of me!" Mandy gnashed her teeth and uttered every word with great emphasis.

All the students had gathered in the hallway to witness the scene. Mandy's fury that had been pent up for so long finally burst out.

Before the crowd had the time to process what was happening, Mandy gave the man a suplex

you still here?" Mandy asked as she continued to walk. She had asked him to go home and wondered what he had been doing.

"I've been waiting for you. I'm worried about you going home on your own at night." Bruce smiled gently and caught up with Mandy.

"Bruce, you don't have to do this. I'm not a kid anymore," Mandy said, sounding annoyed. She didn't like to be treated like a damsel in distress. She was a strong, independent woman–capable of taking care of herself.

"I know. I know. I just wanted to give you a ride so that I would get to spend more time with you." Bruce lifted his hands defensively.

He was not ready to give up even if Mandy was not ready to give him a shot. He did not lose hope and felt that they had a chance in the future.

Bruce turned on the music once they got into the car. 'I feel sorry for your past' was playing, and its soothing music brought a smile to Bruce's face. Mandy listened to it while recollecting everything she had learned today.

"Are you not going to ask who the girl was?" Bruce asked. He raked his eyes over Mandy's relaxed face as she was closing her eyes and resting her head on the car seat. He was worried that she was not affected by the presence of another woman.

'Why wasn't she interested at all? Does she not care about me?' Bruce thought as he knitted his eyebrows.

"What's the point in asking? I know that she's your ex-girlfriend." Mandy shrugged casually, and her eyes were still closed. She had understood who the girl was after their eyes had met.
