"Let's go home." He patted Fred on the shoulder with a smile. Although he was still in America, his heart was already in City A, where he was longing to be.

That day, while Bruce was preparing for his lectures at home, the principal of No. 1 High School suddenly called him.

"Hello, Mr. Principal," Bruce answered. He put down his pen and answered the call right away as soon as he saw who was calling him.

"Bruce, you don't have to come to work today," the principal said solemnly. He sounded a bit cold too.

"What do you mean?" Bruce wondered if he had done something wrong.

"Bruce, I used to think highly of you. You're young, promising, and responsible, but there is nothing I can do about this. This is an order from my superior. You're fired," the principal said, sighing.

The principal didn't know what Bruce had done to offend Nathan. When he received the call that morning, Nathan merely told him to fire Bruce. His order was clear.

He merely said yes without asking why. After this, he called Bruce right away.

"Does Nathan have anything to do with this?" Bruce then realized that Nathan wasn't going to let him off this time. Nathan was using his power to get back at him.

"There is no need to delve into the details. Just focus on finding another job," the principal answered. As much as he hated doing this, he had no choice.

After hanging up the phone, Bruce sat silently in his study, not moving. Nathan had warned him before, and he couldn't believe that he'd actually done this to him.

"Calm down. Sit down first," Mandy tried to console him. When she saw the stubble on his face, she immediately knew that he was having family issues again.

"Okay, thank you, Miss Zhou," Justin kept thanking and bowing to Mandy. She blushed in response.

"Miss Zhou, I won't bore you with the details, so I'm going to keep this short. Please ask Nathan to leave the Lin Family alone. We're going bankrupt," Justin begged. He had a look on his face that Mandy couldn't quite figure out. His eyes were gleaming, and it was unreadable.

"Mr. Lin, it is not that I don't want to help you, it is just that I really can't. I've actually already broken up with him," Mandy whispered.

"What? You're not with him anymore?" Justin stood up in excitement before falling into his seat again.

Mandy wasn't with Nathan anymore. Did that mean that their last glimmer of hope was gone too?

"Are you playing a joke on me, Miss Zhou?" Justin asked in disbelief, a bitter look on his face.
