The next morning

Mandy squinted her eyes at the light hitting on her face. Her head was throbbing, and she winced as the intensity of the headache increased with her swift movement. She fluttered her eyes shut and slowly opened them. She found herself in a strange room.

An unfamiliar scent wafted in the air. Mandy turned her head, and her breath caught in her throat when she saw Bruce lying on the bed next to her, submerged in a deep sleep.

Her eyes widened with horror, and she jolted up on the bed.

A cold breeze brushed her body, and Mandy let out a piercing scream. She was naked!

Bruce woke up to Mandy's scream. His body was tight and exhausted after making love with Mandy over and over again throughout the entire night. Bruce hadn't slept well, and his droopy eyelids instantly widened at Mandy's horrified face.

"What... What did you do to me?" Mandy asked through her quivering lips, which were restraining her sobs. She was securely wrapped in a quilt, and tears were streaming down her face.

"Mand, calm down," Bruce cooed as he couldn't stand to see Mandy like this. "We made love, Mandy–like anyone in love would do. Don't you remember that you were the one to kiss me first?" Bruce recoiled at Mandy's expression–she regretted sleeping with him. He had had a wonderful time last night in Mandy's intimate hold–wrapped in her naked body. But all his happiness was wiped off in an instant when he saw the regret in Mandy's eyes.

Mandy stared at Bruce as tears continued to stream down her face. She was looking defeated–she couldn't recall what had happened last night. She racked her brain, and blurry images began to form in her mind. She vaguely remembered kissing Bruce. He was right. Mandy had initiated it–it was all her fault! She shut her eyes tight when she remembered slowly peeling her clothes from her body.

'God, what have I done?' The blood in Mandy's face had drained completely as her shoulders slumped down. She hugged herself and curled up in a corner.

"Bruce, I..." Mandy bit her lips. I don't remember what happened last night. I

w, aimless strides towards the door. She lost her balance all of a sudden and fell on the floor.

She winced in pain and touched her knees that were scraped.

She summoned all her strength to stand up, walked towards the door, and opened it.

Bruce pushed the door ajar and finally blew out a breath, which he had been holding all this while.

He was relieved to see Mandy. He ran towards her and swept her in his arms. "Mand, I'm sorry. This is my fault. Hit me, trash me–do whatever you want to, but don't think about hurting yourself, please. I beg you."

Mandy remained motionless, and her eyes stared into nothingness. She didn't try to escape from Bruce's hold. She could hear the muffled sounds of Bruce sobbing against her shoulders–but she continued to remain still.

Men rarely cried; Bruce's pain was insurmountable, and he couldn't stop crying. Mandy smiled bitterly–she had become numb–she couldn't feel a thing.

Mandy hated herself for having lured Bruce when she was with Nathan. It was no one's fault, but hers–she had seduced Bruce when she was in a relationship. She was the bitch who had ruined everything.

She swallowed loudly and finally said, "Bruce, don't cry! It's not your fault, it's mine. Everything is my fault." Mandy couldn't see Bruce like this. She knew how Bruce felt–what he was going through. No one but she could better understand this pain.
