Chapter 230 I Will Never Hurt You

A happy grin was plastered across Nacy's face as she effortlessly posed in front of the camera. There was a subtle hint of makeup on her flawless face, which made her look even prettier.

Mandy was happily clicking pictures of Nacy as she changed her pose with every click of the camera and looked gorgeous in every single one of them.

Although they were taking pictures in a faux cherry park, it looked nothing less than the original. The artificial flowers looked like real cherry blossoms as the soft texture of it was highlighted in all the pictures.

Once Mandy was done with taking pictures of Nacy and Bruce, Nacy proposed to take pictures of Mandy. Mandy readily agreed as she wanted to relish the memory of her beautiful time here.

When Nacy was taking pictures, Mandy couldn't help but look at Bruce, who was standing next to Nacy and smiling at her the whole time. Mandy smiled awkwardly and ended up squinting in most of the photos.

Some remarkable pictures of Mandy were taken despite the awkwardness. Nacy took pictures of Fiona as well.

The entire morning flew in the blink of an eye as the girls were having the time of their lives posing for the pictures. Bruce took pictures of them, looking pleased with himself.

It was lunchtime, and they had gathered at the cherry blossom restaurant to eat.

The restaurant was pretty vacant with only a couple of guests, which made it the perfect place for a peaceful lunch.

"I'm going to the washroom. I'll be back soon, OK?" Nacy stood up smiling.

"Me too," Fiona chimed in.

There was an awkward silence as Bruce and Mandy were left alone. Mandy's eyes were both fixed on the menu card. She was skimming through the menu as she was ready for anything other than looking Bruce in the eyes.

She finally tore her eyes from the menu and blew out a loud breath.

"Bruce, tell the truth. Do you like Nacy or not? I will not let you hurt her." Mandy stared at him intently, trying to understand what he had been thinking.

"Weren't you the one who asked me to give her a shot?" Bruce smiled wanly.

"Yes, it was my idea. But I don't want you to toy with her feel

wishing bottles.

All four of them were excited when they arrived at the garden. They saw the Centennial banyan tree standing majestically on the dark lawn. The tree was humongous, and its leaves were scattered all over the ground. Beautiful wishing bottles were hanging all over it, adding to the beauty of the tree.

A natural stream of water ran across the resort village, dividing the villa from the wishing tree. It was easy for people to cross it.

The water in the stream was fresh and clear. Visitors were aware of the purpose of the stream and, therefore, refrained from discarding waste into it. Water was cascading from a large fountain situated behind the stream. Pink and blue fairy lights were embellished on the villas on either side of the mountain, turning the resort into a cozy, romantic spot.

The villas were expensive, and the rent was more than twenty thousand bucks a night. Therefore, only wealthy people, wanting to spend quality time with their loved ones, came here.

Mandy picked a wishing bottle that looked like a star. The bottle could not be opened once the wish was made, and the bottle was sealed so that people's wishes would remain a little secret.

The four of them sat at the table and scribbled down their wishes. Their eyes were glinting with mystery, and a smile tugged on the corners of their lips as they wrote their peculiar wishes, hoping that they would come true one day.
